Thanks for your great reaction to Dan singing this classic hymn so wonderfully. I discovered him with this song almost 2 years ago and haven't been able to stop listening to him. Yes he is a pure vocalist, but his passion is heavy metal. He does sing everything from opera to movie and theater show tunes, to 80's rock and roll and metal, of course. I suggest you check out his very fun cover of I'll Make a Man Out of You from the Disney movie Mulan. His performance skills are on full display and his metal finale is out of this world good. His cover of Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue is better than the original, in my opinion. Any song you choose will be worth the watch.

He sing opera too. Nessu Dorma. He also sing “Music of the night”from Phantom of the opera. But one of my favorite is Gethsemane. What I love about Dan is that he IS the songs he sings. He become the song.

Thanks for the reaction. Dan has over 200 covers and I listened to all of them and each one was better than the last. He sings everything from Opera, Broadway, Rock n Roll, and Heavy Metal. He has something for everyone.

Dan Vasc the Brazilian with a Million. It’s impossible to sum up Dan Vasc in a word, a sentence, a paragraph… maybe a book? I dk. Words just cannot encapsulate the whole package of Dan. He takes my breath away with every “vocal” performance no matter how many previous times I’ve listened to the same song sung by him. I’d really love to see a movie of his life story. The more familiar you become the more love and respect you will have for him. He does have a band, “Fearless”, which consists of a group of awesome musicians. He is a Christian and he and most of his band members started playing together in church. Even so at one point he struggled with depression. He paid his dues in the military, went to college, worked the white shirt and tie world and after hearing Petra decided to full time pursue his career as a singer. He began his serious 10 years+ of voice training which he then in turn gave voice lessons. As a child his father gave him a harmonica, not the one he plays in his video but he then became proficient as a musician. He plays other instruments but only to the extent of being self taught. His reasoning about this is interesting. His much loved brother is also a musician. He was VERY close to his father who passed away from cancer a few years ago and Dan regrets his father wasn’t able to see him “succeed” in life. His loving mother survives. Aside from the harmonica influence his father instilled in him the love of opera and it has been said he is better than Pavarotti. I agree. Some of the tears you will see are due to his remembrances of his father such as Nessus Dorma, Son of Pain, the Elvis trilogy (his father loved opera and Elvis) and others. Dan is completely transparent. What you see is what you get whether it be his silliness, his brashness or at times his naughty mouth. You’ll most likely hear the later when he’s responding to some of his bad moves while playing his Retro games… his second love to singing. His fans, like me, are anxiously awaiting his next song which will most likely address his bet loss to a friend about who might reach their one million fans goal. His payment was/is an original song about “man buns being gay” which Dan is DEFINITELY NOT. lol. Can hardly wait… in the mean time I’m lately listening to his Dawn over a New World. It’s a song for these times we are living in. It’s very encouraging and others have it as their favorite. Me? I can’t say I have a favorite bc I LOVE them all. I didn’t intend writing that book about Dan but maybe this could be the preface. lol There’s so much more to say. But finally I say THANK YOU for your reaction and welcome to Vasc Nation. Loved this reaction, You should definitely try his cover of Fairy tale, originally sang by Shaman. His breath control there is unbelievable, you will note, that he sings a lot of the verses, with one breath.

Dan is a vocal all-rounder, one of my favorite voices. On his channel you will find true vocal treasures from power metal, symphonic metal, rock, pop with metal or musicals, opera... whatever your heart desires. How about 10 Epic Power Metal Songs in 6 Minutes or Nessun Dorma or Pokerface or, or, or
