I really look forward to your reactions because of your very detailed analysis that helps us understand the dynamics of a singer's voice. This is such an emotional song and Dan certainly delivers the powerful sense of pain and final acceptance of his fate that Jesus endured. Hello, I really enjoy seeing your analyzes about Dan Vasc. He is also a great performer of classical music, as he is also classically trained. You could check out performances by Nessun Dorma, Phantom of the Opera, Time To Say Goodbye, Hallelujah (where he himself performs a 24-voice choir). It has Dawn of Victory feat Fábio Lione. Grazie mille, Giacomo! What a masterful analysis and appreciation of this great performance. Dan is so versatile, and has so many sides, that it takes a while to grasp the extent of his artistry. (By the way, EVERYBODY who sees and hears either Gethsemane or The Music of the Night says, "Dan belongs in musical theater.") I hardly know what to recommend next (I know you'll get around to Burn Butcher Burn eventually), because his scope is so wide. One of my very favorites of Dan's is a song you certainly know: his joyous and gorgeous Angels We Have Heard on High, sung in Italian, German, Portuguese, and English (and Latin in the choruses of course), and featuring a backing "choir" that's all Dan. There are other great suggestions here too. I'm so looking forward to your continued exploration of the phenomenal Dan. Thanks again.

I really appreciate your reactions. I, personally, love this performance by Dan Vasc. I think this is an exceptional, emotive performance full of energy and nerves, anger, respect, fear and an almost child-like begging in some parts, mostly created through the tones and distortions of his incredibly facile voice. I have watched this many, many times and I think I appreciate his performance more now than I did even on the first time I heard it. Dan’s expressive performance especially his baritone choices enhance also the following high notes that follow in that different timbre, adding to the conflicting nature of the drama. There is more to enjoy as you go down the rabbit hole of his work. Perhaps consider reviewing the original work with his band either privately or on this channel.

One of the things I most appreciate about Dan is that he picks his spots for using distortion. He doesn't overdo it, so he gets maximum impact when he chooses to use it. I really enjoyed your analysis, thank you.

Wow! Dan Vasc si è preso una gran bella responsabilità e un grosso rischio nell' approcciarsi a questo pezzo intoccabile. Eterno nel firmamento della Musica con la M maiuscola. Che dire.. sa cosa può fare con la sua voce e le sue capacità e ci ha provato portando a casa un eccezionale risultato. Mi è piaciuto al 90 per cento ma giusto perché dopo decenni di interiorizzazione di un brano eseguito magistralmente in un modo, si fa un po' a fatica ad accettare qualche cambiamento. È bravo, lui è proprio bravo e hai ragione tu, dovrebbe fare musical, perché ogni brano che esegue lo sente e lo interpreta. Mi è mancato il pezzo dove Ted arrabbiato grida "all right all right I'll die".. mentre lui lo fa soft. Ha osato .lo perdoniamo perché tutto il resto è da brrrivido😊.

Finalmente è arrivata su questo canale.
