Dan and his guitarist Garrett have turned the saddest song in the world into a metal anthem. Dan Vasc, the man with the powerful voice is a great singer and artist ! 😊

Your appreciation of Dan was so obvious on your smiling face! I loved the explanation of how he reaches those higher notes as a backwards technique producing a powerful auditory illusion! I can't wait to see your analysis of his other suggested videos. BTW- he keeps his early videos on his channel to show his progress and encourage others to continue working hard to reach the next goals.

Grazie per la meravigliosa reazione! I really enjoyed your detailed vocal analysis of this highly creative transformation of what was a lovely but weepy song. Monster indeed! This is so well done, and you can see that every note is carefully thought out. What should be next? One of my very favorite of Dan's "metalized" covers of ordinary songs is Burn Butcher Burn, a great singing and acting job with a variety of stunning vocal techniques. Another good showcase for his vocal versatility is Bring Me to Life, an Evanescence cover. If you'd like a peek at Classical Dan, The Music of the Night is remarkable, his one-man Hallelujah Chorus is mind-boggling, and if you want to go all the way to opera, he has done a more than respectable Nessun Dorma. I look forward to your next encounter with Dan! Thank you.

I really enjoy your analysis of Dan's vocal skills. He has honed his skills to the point he can sing so many different genres, and sing them very well. I would love for you to hear his version of A Tale That Wasn't Right by Helloween. He is greatly influenced by Michael Kiske and he mentions in the outro that he practiced this song many times in order to learn how to sing falsetto. Thanks for your reaction and I so look forward to more.

Skid Row: "I Remember You", "18 And Life", "Youth Gone Wild" Whenever you hear a "chorus" behind Dan's solo voice, it has/they have been recorded separately by Dan, and then mixed with the rest. Sometimes you will SEE all of the "Little Dans" (as we call them) do their parts, and sometimes you just hear the wonderful harmonies blended as a background, which is fantastic, because (for some silly reason--grin) all of the choir boys sound just like their teacher! It's interesting that you brought up Michael Kiske's voice. Dan LOVES to sing Helloween songs, and he has quite a few of them on his channel. They are fabulous! 😀 While you were watching Garrett play once more at about 19:00, I remembered that you wanted to know more about him. He, like Dan, is Brazilian, but (like Violet Orlandi, who is also Brazilian, and who sang "Kiss from a Rose" with Dan for HIS channel, and "Patience" with Dan, for HER channel) lives in Canada. Garrett can be found playing guitar for Dan and several more of his covers. *** EDITED NOTE (05/05/2024 -- thank you, ): Garrett is not Brazilian. He was born and raised, and still lives in San Diego, CA. Thank you, @karenm5681 !!! *** Some people mistake Garrett for Victor the Guitar Nerd. They have completely different styles of playing, and Victor always hides his face, but their hair is similar, so people who haven't watched, listened and done their homework/research well, get them confused. Both of them do wonderful work, and compliment Dan's style(s) VERY much. There are also several other guitarists who get featured with Dan's huge variety of differently-styled vocal offerings. I would LOVE for you to react to Dan's version of "The Song of the White Wolf," his final one (at this point in time, anyway) from The Witcher series. It's a very different type of sound, that suits Dan very well. I usually point first-time listeners who have never heard a real wolf "sing" (and they do it so very, very beautifully), it would be a good thing to search for videos that showcase that very thing. They are pretty easy to find on KZbin. I grew up in Valdez, Alaska, and we heard the wolves sing all the time. Sometimes they would do duets with the coyotes in the area, as well. Those are two very different sounds, yet (like with the sounds that can be made with different instruments coming together to make wonderful music, the two animals singing together are wonderfully awesome). Anyway...if you will react to that song by Dan, you will get a really similar dose of the music of the real wolves, in the song he sings. There's also a GREAT outro at the end of that one. Thank you VERY much for this fabulous reaction. I TOTALLY love your understanding, not just of the techniques, but of the persons involved. You have a real knack for both.

Minor correction needed: you said that Garrett Peters is Brazilian but I believe that’s incorrect. Garrett is from San Diego, CA. Garrett worked with Dan on 2 other songs (“Carry On” & “Dawn Over a New World” in which he gets credited for so many things) but this is his first time onscreen. He will be working with Dan & Eric July on their collab, whenever that comes out, hopefully in the near future! 😊
