Dan sang this in his garage! I think he does all the direction of his own music. This is one of his best! Every time I hear it, I get mass goose bumps, it takes my breath away, and I end up crying! I love him! He was the best anyway, but I had NO idea he did Opera, and now he's over the top!! As good as he is with all his music , I'm blown away! He's a gift from God to all of us!! 😎😎😎

In my opinion, Dan is right up there with the best opera singers. Dan sang this in his garage, by himself. No high-tech recording studio, no professional orchestra. His talent is off the charts. This song means a lot to Dan. His Father loved opera and they would listen to it in the car. Dan's Father passed in 2017 and never got to see him achieve his goal of Making a living singing. This song done by Dan always gives me chills! Thanks for your reaction to Dan.

Thank you for this wonderful reaction. First of all, you give us a cicadas concert and then the masterful Dan Vasc singing Nessun Dorma! I love Dan's version of Nessun Dorma! More Dan would be nice. "Time To Say Goodbye" featuring Rehn Stillnight is great and his outro explains how much the song means to him. His "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera is another great cover. Dan's love is heavy metal and power metal, but he has stated that he likes other music, also. You might also like his latest upload - "My Heart Will Go On" (metal).

Dan’s tears are real. It has to do with his father and his love of opera singers such as Andrea Bocelli. His father passed away quite awhile ago.

What a masterpiece by Dan. His vocal skills and presence are unique and fascinating at the same time. For me he is one of the few singers who can sing this difficult song. Besides "Music of the Night" you would also like "The Sound of Silents" or "Angel we have Heard on High". Thank you for your wonderful reaction to this song by Dan.

Thank you for your reaction. Dan's voice is so changeable, he adapts it perfectly to every song he sings. Good examples of this are: One Man Choir- Handel's Hallelujah, Gethsemane - Jesus Christ Superstar (not only musically, also the performance), Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen cover, or Battle Hymn - Manowar cover (one of his favorite bands) and many more. For many of his covers he does everything himself, from all the vocals, the video recordings and also arranging and mixing. I look forward to more from Dan.

71 yr old Grandma of 2 here❤️⚘️ Yes ,Dan sang it twice. Dan and his father used to sing Pavarotti and Bocelli in the car. His father was Italian and passed away about 7- 8 yrs ago from cancer. Dan is an incredible singer , professionally trained in his late teens. The genres are endless. He was singing to his Father. Dan sang this about 5 yrs ago so it was only 2-3 yrs from his loss. He's humble and isn't afraid to show his emotions. He had tears by the end. His covers of The Phantom of the Opera/ Music of the Night is awesome as is him singing" Bocelli's It's Time to say Goodbye ". You are so right Dan is blessed. Don't be afraid to jump down the rabbit hole. 250 covers is a great variety ! I would be lost without my 170 song list of Dan's music to crank up. I enjoyed your Reaction and the acadas ? Sending blessings ❣️ PS There is a version of "The Elvis Trilogy " Dan sings as a tribute to his Father. He sang it only 4 days after his father passed. He shares a photo of his Father and him as a young boy. He has regret his Dad never got to see his success. Dan is really exceptional, and his classical training shows here. This is a VERY respectable performance for someone who's not a professional opera singer. Yes, the duet Time to Say Goodbye also is operatic and gorgeous, and Phantom of the Opera and Gethsemane both also display his classical vocal chops. Dan often sings a mixture of vocal techniques in the same song, so a "metalized" Burn Butcher Burn, or My Heart Will Go On, both show plenty of classical singing along with all the spectacular bits. You're right - the climax to this aria is usually sung just once, but that's Dan doing Dan things. He has the most beautiful, most versatile, and most exquisitely trained voice I've heard in many years - and I'm a long-time opera fan who's been going to live opera for decades. (BTW, there's no detail on his page about the instrumentals, so that means he produced it himself, probably by purchasing the background music. Nowadays he can afford to outsource much of the production work he used to do by himself. If there's anyone else involved in his productions, he's meticulous about giving credit.) I love to listen to the cicadas. They are amazing! Perfecto! Dan has said that he sings to empower his listeners. If you think about what you've heard him sing, you'll realize he does that, whether by his song choices or by the talent and effort he puts into every song he sings. I think you still need to listen to his versions of I'll Make a Man Out of You and My Heart Will Go On. Maybe you can do them as a "Two-for'. React to both with only stopping between the songs instead of cutting them in half to save on time. Just an idea. Of course, ANY song he sings is tremendous. Thanks Bob!

Dan's hard work on his range of singing is just splendid. I'm 72 and my Dad loved Mario Lanza. So our home was filled with opera, show albums and my imput of rock and roll bands. Mario Lanza really got screwed by the movie studios with him actually getting fired from his last movie "The Student Prince" because of artistic difference. But because the full sound track was already on an album. The studio found some skinny English actor who lip sings all the songs in the movie. Prtending to be Mario, with sad success. The movie credits had "The Voice of Mario Lanza" because in those days the studios owned their stars. Dan has the same passion Mario gave to all his songs and if we would have had You Tube back then his life would not have ended so tragic. I watch tv and movies with Mario in them and i see the power and passion like Dan has. Dan has worked very hard to b where he is today. So wonderful in this sometimes crazy world we live in. ROCK ON!!

Great reaction to a great artist. Dan is the king of male youtube singers in my opinion.I see another comment suggesting you react to Dan singing "Gethsemane" from Jesus Christ Superstar and I agree. He's a fine vocalist. He sings opera, but in the vein of pop-opera singers like Andrea Bocelli, or any top tier Broadway musical performer - he'd make an excellent Jean Valjean! His technique, however, is not anywhere near what one would expect from an elite professional performer in the genre. He has a nice timbre, and maybe if he had serious, prolonged classical training he'd show real potential. But he won't be appearing at the Met anytime soon, despite their financial problems! Puccini's "Nessun dorma" is a very popular Italian aria of the Romantic period and is always wonderful to hear when sung by a talented artist, but it will always be better suited for a tenor to perform. If you want to listen to a tenor who's actually great, listen to Fritz Wunderlich's rendition of my favorite Puccini aria, "E lucevan le stelle" (German translation). I consider him the greatest operatic tenor of the 20th century. And yes, I know how hyperbolic that sounds, but I'm not alone in that opinion. To be clear, if one prefers Mr. Vasc's voice or style of singing over Mr. Wunderlich's, that's a perfectly valid choice and entirely fine with me. Ultimately, it's always a subjective experience. What are you waiting for? You need to listen to Luciano Pavarotti singing this aria. There is a KZbin video of his performance from one of the Three Tenors concerts back in the 1990s. No one performs “Nessun Dorma” like Pavarotti.
