It was an honor to hear him sing our national anthem with passion and conviction. Bravo, Dan, Bravo. Also, hearing the eagle screech at the end gave me chill bumps. I just saw a bald eagle fly over the car this morning on my way to church. I live in West Virginia. The bald eagle population is coming back. Feeling blessed.

I am honored that Dan sang his version of our National Anthem - I have such high respect for him! Now, all he needs to do is book a US tour. LOUD & PROUD!!! That's how our Anthem shld be sung. I wish our Nation was in a place (like after 9/11) where fans in Stadiums cld let the LOVE come out of their Hearts so Loud performer on the Mic has to up His/Her game. But, we're in tough times in the USA. Great reaction. Only Protocol issue is interrupting the Anthem. Understood that KZbin police are watching. @@evfamilyent There have been some reactors who either wouldn't play it/react to it (possibly thinking it would be considered vulgar...who knows?), and some who haven't even realize it was actually CONNECTED. Also, some started it, and decided (without finishing it) that Dan really WAS apologizing, so they "chickened out" because of that. When I saw it the first time, I had ONLY see two of Dan's videos (Amazing Grace & Star Spangled Banner). As soon as I saw that the short video named "An Apology" was only posted a couple of days later, I jumped on it, figuring (correctly) what it probably was. Before he got even a short way into the first part of it, I started laughing. Personally, I don't know how anyone can hear Dan sing EITHER ONE of those songs, and then think that he actually WOULD apologize! You don't "metalize" songs like either one of those if you are going to be afraid of a little bit of criticism -- no matter which side of the border the criticism came from (and Dan HAS stated that it was more from his own country, than from the U.S.). Thanks for reacting to it. GRANDMA HUGS!

Dude, love your reaction and love Dan but the Star Spangled Banner isn't a song you interrupt. And there were plenty of Americans who were offended by him covering this. Remember there are a lot of so-called Americans who believe America is responsible for all the evils in the world (hence all the kneeling we see during the anthem). Love Dan's "apology." Actually, in a reel (and no, I have no idea which one it was right now), several months later, Dan did actually say that there were more arguments from his fellow Brazillian citizens, than from USA citizens, though there definitely were complaints from both sides of the border.
