I had forgotten how very lovely this song is. And yes, with just his gorgeous voice and expressiveness, he owns another song! I always like to be reminded of just how wide his stylistic range is. And he’s the only one who decides what he records, so if he wants to record this one because Tarzan was a childhood favorite, he just does. I love that. Thanks for the wonderful reaction.

Great reaction. I first watched this cover back in July. At the beginning when you said even if he just did a straight cover he would elevate it, I was thinking RIGHT. I always liked the original, and still do, but I like Dan's better!

Love your enthusiasm on Dan’s renditions and his talents, your reactions are my favorites. Dan is someone who was carefully and very specially carved by God with so many different musical capacities that it’s impossible not to be shocked, puzzled, overwhelmed every time we listen to him. Dan stays truer to the original in a lot of his older songs. I really like the way Dan sings this but I think he is showing great restraint in not elevating it to a metal version and a hair flip or two! Thanks for your reaction.

Okay… no hate at all. If Dan Vasc has a “worst” cover song it’s this one. It’s like asking an angel to sing karaoke. Dan Vasc’s talents are too great for this song and he doesn’t shine as much. It’s not terrible though. Just like a warm up song 😂
