I don't even want to share this video because people will ruin the pleasure of hearing it too much. I want to enjoy the pleasure for myself only. That's how AMAZING this is.

Excellent ... and I only had the chance to see this because a few of you were interviewing Norman Finkelstein. Smart and talented you guys are. Really enjoyed it.

Dragonfly is so hard. I fucking love the vocals, and I want to kiss the singer. The bass in the medley is orgasmic. The alto sax is ascendental. Mr. Pineapple and the tenor saxophonist are on another level. I am in love.

Dude i am shocked to just stumble upon this after the norm finkelstein interview, i love jazz so i was thoroughly surprised to find this. I havent listened to as much as i should have but ive checked a lot of classic 50s-1970s stuff (several miles albums, lots of coltrane, mahavishnu orchestra, jaco, mingus, dave Brubeck ,all that stuff). I always wanted to learn jazz, im a guitarist mainly but also play bass and somewhat play drums (mainly rock but i somewhat have a jazz influence, but not as much as I'd like) and im happy to see someone playing this well in a contemporary setting. I havent found a whole lot of jazz lately i like outside of like some of adam Neely's stuff but this is great. I am loving this Thank you guys for kicking ass, and thank you for the norm finkelstein interview because it just makes me happy to see it.

I have a theory about Dragonfly, it's that that sax arrangement is too jazzy and I already said that I had heard it somewhere else. It turns out that within jazz there is a figure that stands out, that was the well-known "Saint" of jazz music John Coltrane, Coltrane in his time proposed that music is mathematics that can lead to the evolution of consciousness and spirit and even cure diseases, that is when he proposed to decipher the musical puzzle to take people to a higher state of consciousness and be able to cure them through his notes, within that search he gave us all his famous album A Love Supreme and the album begins with what led me to write this comment, it begins with the piece called Acknowledgement, in a certain way I believe that knowingly or not, the brothers gave rise to an arrangement very similar to Acknowledgment in itself powerful that provides hope for some, melancholy for others. Be that as it may, in the end music is for everyone and it is incredible how a "simple" arrangement of Dragonfly together with the hopecore edition managed to move important fibers taking the spirit to a meditative state completely taking away cynicism and anxiety as St. Coltrane once proposed.
