He's had one for years. The episodes aren't as long and magnificent as they were in the early years, but he still puts his heart into them. The first few years were especially great. I revisit those. They were long, hillarious variety shows. He had interesting guests and told stories of behind-the-scenes/seedy Old Hollywood stuff. Since Trump got into politics Dana has developed a annoying case of TDS and goes on the occasional lefty tirade. I've always loved Dana, so I forgive him that sap and hope that he comes to his senses someday.

@orangemanok5800 Yeah, very annoying that Dana had an issue with a convicted rapist who is currently on trial in 4 felony cases. I'd say Dana was the one who saw through this criminal and Adam is the one who is deluded. Trump could get convicted in all 4 cases and you and Adam would still vote for him. What does that say about the Maga crowd?

16:27 in defense of Dawson, I live in the middle of BFE in the Midwest, I've heard "Ol'" my whole life and almost never in place of Old. Usually in the context of another way go say "That dude" or "that thing" when the name was unknown or wasn't coming to mind. "Isn't that ol' boy dating so & so?" or "You know who I'm talking about, ol' boy up the street," "Who's gonna do something about it, ol' boy over there?" etc etc. Almost always a clear difference when referring to one's Old Man/Woman, old truck, dog, etc. 😅

Here's what ChatGPT says about 'ole': "The word "ole" is not a standard English term for "yonder." "Ole" is often used as a colloquial and informal spelling of "old" in certain dialects, as mentioned earlier. The term "yonder" is an old-fashioned or poetic way of saying "over there" or "at a distance." It is used to refer to something that is not close but still within sight or nearby."

Ole Miss has it's origins in slavery. When there were two missus in the house to take orders from, the Ole Miss was the older of the two. How miserable is Mississippi that they not only named their school after a slave master but still refuse to change it.

There were two Styx.... Dennis DeYoung Styx and Tommy Shaw Styx.... The Tommy Shaw version did some decent-good stuff.... man in the wilderness, boat on the river, too much time on my hands, renegade, blue color man... The Dennis DeYoung version seemed okay at the time, but absolutely none of the songs held up more than a couple of years. If he hasn't expired already, he'll go out singing to crowds of little old ladies like he's been doing for the past 25 years.

Dennis, Tommy, and JY did a great job of complimenting each other. Renegade started out as being influenced by Alan Parsons Project. Dennis was the one who suggested turning the energy up. Also, for example, Dennis came up with the distinct keyboard intro for Blue Collar Man. As for Crystal Ball, Tommy wrote the song before joining Styx. It's on KZbin. Dennis and JY also helped to make the song what it became. Just a few examples. On a side note, Dennis and Tommy's voices have aged very well. They're singing in the original key.

I'm wondering what it looks like studying people "born" before VS young enough to remember the day and feel the emotional impact, the terror, the unknown, and the way people came together. I've been thinking about this same comment for a while, and it is interesting to read that someone else is thinking on the same lines.
