She was on What's My Line quite a bit as a panelist back in the 70's. Excellent singer. She's a hypnotherapist now.

Her brother was Sergio Franchi, a frequent Sullivan guest (24 appearances!). Her birth name was Fausta Galli, born 17 years after Sergio. He unfortunately died of a brain tumor in 1990.

What a great job by Dana Valery!!! Her voice is so strong. Just doing the song took balls as the Stevie Wonder version with James Jamerson on bass, sets the bar PRETTY high!!!

I honestly can't believe in 1975 Dana made two albums, one for herself and one for "Mountain" AKA Leslie Weinstein(WEST!). Leslie produced and played on both albums but I can't find a picture of the two of them together. A secret romance???? I have seen stranger couples......but not many. Has Dana ever covered "Mississippi Queen"??

@@rrmauriello 100% incorrect. It was not even written by Stevie Wonder. The sonwriters were Ron Miller and Orlando Murden.....It was written and first recorded as a slow ballad. There are differing accounts of its earliest versions, although it seems that it was first recorded by Connie Haines, but first released in 1966 by Jean DuShon. Other early versions of the ballad were issued by the Four Tops, the Temptations, Diana Ross and Tony Bennett, whose recording was the first to reach the pop charts. Of course Stevie with James Jamerson on bass is tough to cover but Dana does it LIVE!!! And also looks fantastic doing it. IMO!!
