Democracy is essentially the rule of the majority which can be evil if the majority supports an evil agenda, which is why America is a constitutional republic that has democratic principles. The constitutional republic is designed to assure the voice of the minority is still heard even though it is against the will of the majority with the underlying principle to protect freedom. Unfortunately, we see the corruption of it in todays world because the first amendment is being attacked and undermined that is to say, they only allow free speech if the powers that be agree with your free speech.
