@bm2g I agree, I'm a huge Chael Sonnen fan and he worked Silva...IMO Sonnen won the fight but Silva won the match fair and square. He did everything he said he was going to do to Silva, beat his face in, took him down, threw him around, and stood up with him. The only thing he didn't do was take the belt. Hopefully there will be a rematch and he'll have this oppertunity again.

i was astonished by this fight last night, all the fights for that matter, i thought silva was going to walk all over sonnen and it was just the opposite. Sonnen gets alot of props from me simply cause he said he was going to take him down and punch a hole in his face and that what he did. I hope for Andersons case he took some notes cause he took a beating and got lucky in the 5th, but a great fight all around. Sonnen just won me over thats for sure i hope he gets a rematch b4 Belfort gets 1

It could have been tainted supplements. 3. Also, there's a long list of over-the-counter cold and flu products that have triggered false positives in drug tests. Remember how Sonnen said he had a stomach bug in the week leading up to the fight?

@bm2g Also (continuing from my last response) Anderson is a counter striker, but he was always the first person to throw a punch during the beginning of the rounds, I don't think the fight was fixed, but I think Anderson could have did a lot better than he preformed. He had broken ribs for gods sake, and he didn't tap regardless of what Sonnen did to him. Give Anderson respect regardless of how he preformed, he took a beating to his body. I just think that he could've did more than he did.

Also there is a difference between acting like a fool, taunting and being unsportsmanlike in the ring (Silva) and talking alot of shit before and after a fight whilst fighting your ass off during the fight (Sonnen).

I'm just stating an opinion, but I dont think Chael Tapped, if you look at the replay he was in shock that the fight was stopped he looked at the ref and said "what", whether it was simply out of shock or not, I still cant see how some haven't called it a bad call on the ref's part. Like I said its just my opinion and I could be wrong, Chael won that fight hands down, that was a beating for Anderson, one he deserved, and If his doctor said no to the fight then legally it wouldnt have happend.

However, he caught my attention when he presented a worthy challenge to Silva and gave us (UFC fans) one hell of a fight. Dispite all the contraversy, he got skills, cause testoterone alone it's gonna make a man flip outta counter attacks and submissions without substantial training. As for the stamina Sonnen displayed by doing such impressive feits repeatedly? That's another question.

Take a look at the fight again guys... there were several times in which Silva had the opportunity to do the triangle. I cant even count how many times Sonnen had his arms exposed. And each time I believe Silva was thinking about doing so but i guess felt like it wasn't the right time. So yes he took the worst ass whoopin for roughly 23 minutes... but @bm2g to say it was lucky... come on man give the man his props..he came out there with his Gee... which says to me he wanted to use his ju jitsu

@bigballer45446 Visible injuries have nothing to do with it. Chael may have a sh*tload of scar tissue on his face, which opens easily when hit even slightly. Also, if you were even watching the fight, most of Chael's shots landed on Silva's chin or the sides of his head, neither of which area ever swell like around the eyes.

Reading through these comments makes me laugh. Silva was outclassed? lol He won the fight and is still UNDEFEATED in the UFC. End of story. Dana was pissed at Silva for his past performances and Silva LET himself get hit a couple times for some entertainment but Ill admit that Anderson did not want it to go as far as it did and I give credit to Chael for shaking anderson up, but in the end the bell rung and andersons hands went up. A rematch will only prove that Anderson was toying with Chael.

@kikoukira Wouldn't call it lucky, he got him at the end because of his superior technique on the ground. Even if he did take a beating for the first four rounds, none of that matters because at the end of the fight it was his arm that was raised, not Sonnen's. Silva knows what Sonnen can do now, and if there is a rematch I would expect Silva to handle him much more easily, and dummy him like he dummied Forest Griffin.
