He was a top 10 fighter, he is a top 5 comic, and he will forever be a world champion human being. He is a beast of a father, a friend you can trust, and a loyal and faithful husband. We should all see this and aspire to be more like Brendan. Instead, all I see is hate and the only reason I can think of is jealousy. The soy boys hate genuine alpha badasses like Brendan and myself. At the very least, Chimaev clearly missed weight on purpose and Dana clearly wasn’t that upset about it. I’ve never heard Dana rip a fighter less for coming in damn near 10 pounds overweight. Idk, Idc… Chimaev and Holland both weighed in at 180ish, it was a fair fight that Chimaev looked spectacular in. Absolutely destroyed Holland with one of, if not the single most impressive grappling displays in MMA history. Chimaev is going to be champion, whether it be at 70 or 85, or possibly both. As far as fighters being “dumb”, I would suggest that’s a wildly inaccurate assertion. I wouldn’t say fighters like Chael Sonnen, Fedor Emelianenko, Mirko Cro Cop, GSP, Matt Hughes, or a long list of many others are “dumb” in any way, shape, or form.

It's a private business that built a successful platform that the fighter himself can create opportunities that comes with being associated with the UFC. You fighting for the UFC is not only a fight contract. It's like a free social platform that you can use to promote yourself and your own platform with the association. The bigger the company grows the bigger platform it's gonna be for the fighters to take advantage of. And it comes with a cost. Cost of a small % of the fight card due to the cost of paying everybody involved with building the fight card. From the media to the venues to investors, fighters and the list goes on. But people also forget what managers they have and the numbers we don't see what value the fighters bring to the company etc. Ofc we want fighters to get paid but i also know that there's so much more involved that we don't know about cuz we only have the perspective of the outside looking in and none of the perspective who has built a multi billion organization that gives platform for independent contractors or also known as the fighters on the UFC
