I always respect companion quests where there's no obvious right or wrong outcome. Cole and Emmrich both win in this regard in their respective games.

Rook's still too young for something like that to be considered. I'd imagine down the line if they stayed with Emmrich and proved themselves they'd get a chance.

@ I get that, I just wish there was some dialogue option that talks about it being a possibility for rook’s future, like them saying they want to become a lich when they grow older or something, but they always talk like they will never be one regardless.

They pretty much got rid of regional/racial accents for Veilguard unfortunately.

​@@ninethreefivesix It was an odd mix, since they kept the Antivan accent, the orlesian accent, and the native Par Vollen speech pattern of over-enunciating. I think they selectively localized some of the core cast into the their target audience American accent, since Isabella and Taash have no evidence of similar accents despite both being native to Rivain as far as I understand. Bellara has an American accent in line with the Ferelden elves, including the dalish there, but I don't think she is from Ferelden at all. I'm not sure we really know much about Bellara's background -- at least the wiki doesn't. I'm not sure what accent they were going for with Irelin, since Free Marches dalish we saw in kirkwall had been welsh since DA2. A lot of strange choices without further detail which broke immersion for me. It seemed almost careless to develop their world but not bring any rhyme or reason. Maybe I'm missing something, but this is my reaction.

Yeah the regional accent thing overall for characters is inconsistent in this game, BUT out of all the characters, I would give Emmrich a pass given his backstory. From some banter with Harding, he grew up a poor commoner before his parents died and he stresses the importance of education in uplifting a person's status, so there's the heavy implication that he also schooled himself to SOUND more educated as well, meaning this isn't his original accent but rather a learned one he trained himself into. It's possible his original accent could've been closer to Cassandra's or someone else's entirely.

He's taller or as tall as Davrin and taller than Lucanis in most cutscenes, I've noticed.
