@@knellycornnan5132 To be honest maybe. K.L.E.O is a sentient assaultron that identifies as a woman. I actually had a theory that if any robot can gain sentience, that means Gen 2 synths can also become sentient. Those robots and the gen2's just need to work a little harder to find it tho. Or it needs to be wired in their programming somehow. This thought of mine sparked because of deacon saying there's railroad drama on whether or not they should also save Gen 2 synths.

Seriously invest in a SSD if you have not already. You can get 1tb ssds cheap now and they basically eliminate loading time - even on a heavily modded skyrim playthrough.

Tom de Jong BOS only kills Ferals, Super Mutants and Gen-1 and Gen-2 synths on sight. They don't kill regular ghouls, they just act dickish around them but so does everyone in the Wasteland. Strong would still kill you if he didn't want you to help "find the Milk" to become superior to humans. All of the Super Mutants kill and maim humans. There are a few exceptions like you said but they're just that - exceptions. Those are just 1%. P.S. I didn't mention Gen-3 synths in my first sentence because I want to talk about them separately. Railroad tries to blend them into society with out realizing that they are not humans. They don't age as far as we've seen and are basically superior to humans in every way. They appear to be resistant to human afflictions and needs. Maybe their tissue ages like in The Terminator but they themselves don't. They don't require food or sleep as far as I've seen and rads don't seem to affect them. They can't reproduce since they don't need to because you can make a synth in 5 min which begs the question how are both Synth and human lives equal if you can make a synth in 5 min as opposed to human which you need to make in 9 months not to mention the effort the parents (mostly mother) give to create a fully capable human. Synths naturally will be discovered by other humans which can attract the Institute which with out effort can say a few words and shut down them. You can hypnotize or brainwash a human too but humans don't have inbuilt components for that so you would need skills to hypnotize or brainwash which take practice which itself takes time. BOS fear Synths because unlike humans, ghouls or Super Mutant they were never human so can't possibly know they actually think when they don't mimic humans. For us everything takes a lot of time and we don't have a lot of that. For synths that is opposite. Is it right to kill them since they are artificial? I don't know. Was it right for the Institute to create them to somehow better mankind? I don't know. I assume Institute created them so they surpass humans because of how unstable we are so freeing them and treating them like regular humans undermines Institute's goal. I assume so because Father always talks about how synth are future etc. You can form your own opinion on them. I am just giving you a fact. Then again this is a Bethesda game so maybe all the researching and thinking trough is pointless.
