It took everything I had not to blast Maxson the first time during that quest. Danse was as loyal to the Brotherhood one could get and would have made a much better Elder. I wish after being exiled we could convince him to build The Brotherhood of Steel Outcasts.

I'm a fan of the railroad and it always bothered me how my favorite character and romantic companion, MacCready, didn't seem to care for synths or believe in saving them. It actually is such a relief to hear that after Blind Betrayal when he realizes Danse didn't know that he had a change of heart. I knew he had it in him, my snarky sniper apocalypse dad.

MacCready seems to be pretty confused on his opinion of synths. But that also seems a bit common for companions, as Danse is pretty damn confused regarding his opinion of non-feral Ghouls as well.

It's hit and miss when they do stuff like this, sometimes they make notable characters companions and sometimes they don't. Benny couldn't be one of course, but then you also have Ulysses, arguably an even more important character in F:NV's mythos become one. Guess it really comes down to what the developers want to include more than anything else.

Hairy Sparrow Ulysses was originally going to be a legion companion but the developers didn’t have time for that ,but they decided his character was to good to scrap so they brought him back for the dlc

The railroad, the Brotherhood, and maybe even the minuteman Are wiped out Would that be a better ending than no paranoia, No Institute, the railroad wiped out is pretty bad but no more fear of the institute. I would say that the brotherhood has a better ending than the institute’s ending

it annoys me how most of the companions favor certain factions like the minutemen almost all companions dislike the brotherhood almost all like the minutemen/railroad then besides x6-88, none of them like the institute when it comes to factions the companions are too like minded

Because the Minutemen, the REAL Minutemen aren’t racist and are willing to help ANYONE in need, ghoul, human, synth(non hostile of course)without ANYTHING in return, only because they chose to help. The Brotherhood is like a lesser evil compared to the Institute, of course they’re better than the Institute for the Commonwealth, but Maxson is misguided with all the hate for non humans..And the day that changes, the Brotherhood will realize the folly of their old ways and become a protector of the Commonwealth.

@@uwu-uv4mg as much as I liked this game, the big bad here is by far the weakest villains in the franchise, the goals are so flawed absolutely everyone who isn’t raised in the institute in game and you the player can see how restoring humanity by replacing them with machines is such a abysmal idea that even if you try to see the good in it’s ideals, you realise that it absolutely benefits no one when ultimately it’s just an excuse for a bunch of eggheads to build better “lifeforms” that they deemed to be better than humans

If you build up the Minutemen, they are the best hope. They serve the Commonwealth and it’s settlers trying to survive. They offer people a CHOICE to join the Minutemen, and they CHOOSE to work together and collect resources for each other to share and use, as compared to the Brotherhood you have to coerce them to donate.

Strong is a very straight-to-the-point kind of person; humans should be with other humans. Don't drink to feel good, stay sharp -- same with drugs. He hates sneaking, hacking, picking locks and tinkering. But meeting a goal as fast as possible and breaking any obstacles on the way? Major approval. If it weren't for the cannibalism, he'd be full Lawful-Good.

It's evident you haven't either. The Brotherhood in Fallout 1 aren't evil, nor are they aggressive. You can immediately access Lost Hills after you visit the first floor of West Tek. You can get equipment, boosts and Power Armor from them almost immediately as well. This misconception that the original Brotherhood were assholes is key to finding people who never played the game. Are they isolationist? Sure, but they still trade with water caravans from The Hub and the members outside Lost Hills are charitable before you even enter. If anything the Brotherhood in 3 are more expansionist, aggressive and "bigoted", they shoot ghouls and mutants on sight, they are dismissive of you being a wastelander when they first meet you, and they only come to respect you somewhat when you lead civilians through a ghoul infested tunnel as the son/daughter of a renowned scientist who previously worked with them on tech.
