Blaidd is one of my all time fav fromsoft characters, right up there with Eileen, Sigward and Solaire! His voice was not what i was expecting the first time i heard it but i quickly grew to love it and he sounds so badass!

Being able to put Elden Ring on your resume has to help to get more opportunities in the gaming sphere. Even if Blaidd is a secondary or tertiary character, he was still impactful and iconic for the game itself. I bet we'll see more of this VA in the credits of games going forward

yeah blaidd really stuck out to me, he felt like the only NPC that actually wanted to be your friend rather than just strike up a deal or work together towards a common goal.

Blaidd just feels so important to the experience for me. He can be one of the first NPCs you come across besides Varre and the merchant. He’s like twice your size with a wolf’s head and he’s just amazing and so cool. One of my favorite NPCs of all time. I can’t play through the game without doing Ranni’s quest because they’re both so awesome and Blaidd’s armor is some of my favorite. His voice is so important to making him feel tough but also approachable and like you can trust him because his character design could be very intimidating lol

Wait what, Miyazaki was present (well I assume via video chat but anyway) for every voice actor? I always thought maybe some lead from the english translation team or something like that was present, but that Miyazaki oversees this himself is kinda crazy and cool.

He's pretty involved in all From Software games except DS2 and is very hands on even though he's the president of the company. Probably why From Software is so successful. He knows his shit when it comes to game development and it shows compared to other presidents in the industry

Scott may go down in history as giving the only genuine laugh out of a character in a From Soft game that wasn't creepy or malicious. Just joy of Radan's defeat. That's the Blaidd we all came to love

It's crazy how I've only just found this interview, ad I absolutely love it to death! However, I would like to point out that Blaidd and Ranni are not meant to be a romantic couple in any way (referring to 52:10). Iji himself outright states that they are step siblings and were raised together.

27:50 I'm genuinely so glad he mostly kept to his own voice. It makes Blaidd feel really like one of your best mates. He may be half wolf but the interactions are so human. The bond between the tarnished and him is instantaneous, and every interaction you can see more and more how much Blaidd respects you.

I LOVE that Fromsoft games take so much inspiration from Berserk which imo is one of the best mangas I've ever read. Blaidd is a much more tame version Guts for sure and I was so happy to see this dude in the game. He is one of the stand out NPCs so far and I love his voice. Amazing job!

I feel bad that I missed this livestream! I wasn’t able to tell Scott/Blaidd myself but… I just completed Ranni and Blaidd’s Quest… man it was a rollercoaster for me. Especially when Blaidd and Alexander helped me the most to defeat General Radahn for the first time too. Amazing voice talent! I’m very attached to how the characters are brought to life in this game it’s fantastic!
