In America, the police can unlock your phone without permission using face unlock, but not with fingerprint unlock. If you're a white male Republican and wealthy, you don't have to worry about that. If you are anyone else, don't even register your face.

2:17 Dude, the pixel 8 Pro has that new face unlock that can be used to authenticate passwords, bank apps, and stuff... Don't know how they do it, but it seems very reliable.

Titanium was a big deal for the iPhone because they were using steel previously, so this was a big weight savings. Samsung switched from aluminum to titanium, which means an imperceptible weight difference, but a big price difference. I would have preferred they stuck to aluminum. About face unlock: If you are American, there is a legal consideration here. If you get arrested, the police can unlock your phone without your permission using face unlock, but not using the fingerprint. If you are a wealthy white male Republican, this is no big deal as you are largely above the law, but for anyone else, I would advise not registering your face at all on your phone. I have an S23, so I won't be upgrading, but if I did, none of those AI features looks like something I would use. Maybe the translation, but I already have Google Translate (never had cause to figure out conversation mode in that). If you are an Apple user and the ecosystem is holding you back (that's the purpose of an ecosystem), Samsung also has a pretty decent ecosystem. One of the best on the Android side, frankly.

I would love to have a face unlock feature, the same as iPhone on my samsung s24 ultra. I really miss that function. I would not mind a big island on my screen.
