i honestly don't think tara and sammy would be friends if it weren't for kat. nothing against either of them, i love them both but they just don't seem as close naturally. it's a bit of a standard television issue that the main character must have a connection to every other character and not saying i dislike their friendship dynamic but it just feels like the two wouldn't have been compatible if not for kat.

I completely agree. In the first season, their friendship seemed kind of forced and that Kat was the glue of their little trio. But in season two, I feel like they grew much closer after everything that happened with the Christian-Tara-Kat situation. Sammy really had Tara's back, supporting her completely which was a change considering he was always closest to Kat. During the Prix episodes as well, they became a nice duo and you can tell that they truly formed a genuine and authentic friendship, apart from Kat.
