The Be Natural was a short pre-debut song showcase. There was an actual full performance with the other members. When this video came out, I enjoyed seeing my favorites included, but at the same time, I also agreed that some of their points were questionable/explained poorly. I think some of the choreos chosen by certain artists could be different.

I can agree with you on this! For Seventeen specifically, I know they had some other routines prior to the year this video was made that are legit DIFFICULT based on the technique to singing conversion.... I'm glad we were all able to take another look at it after a few years have passed!

Oh wow, you’re reacting to this content too I think that the creator did a great job giving his/her/their insight on this theme, this was a very rare type of video back in the day I agree that the opinions on choreographies a highly subjective because they come from a dancer with certain level/style/knowledges/experience/strength/weaknesses. The author highlighted choreos that are hard in different aspects, but I think the one common point for this is all of them are hard to perform for idols. It can be because of the concept (the 7th sense), positions (BST), style (Don’t wanna cry), dynamic choices (hala hala), etc. I think it would be better to have some criterias that helps people understand the content, so I always appreciate when a dancer give some information of himself (what style do you dance, for how long, etc.). Also I agree that the point “this choreo looks hard and it IS” shouldn’t come from a dancer, because I came watching the video to find out why it does look hard as a non-dancer, but the video left me without an explanation😅so i am glad that we are getting some information from you at least I recommend you the channel facts in fiction, i think it have more complex analysis with criterias explained (like the video about groove in k-pop dances), it doesn’t have a lot of digesting, but the analysis are very interesting imo But this video is one of the oldest analysis on choreography in k-pop, so I still appreciate it

When it comes to unique choreos ( which are very hard to execute)SM doesn't play around. From shinee taemin to exo kai to nct ten all of them have one of the hardest choreos ever. N how can we forget queen Boa Also you need to watch TEN ( from NCT ) - birthday n NCT - black on black ( both are extremely hard to execute)

It was definitely presented a bit strangely and your observations are very spot on. I would love to see a film discussing fragments of difficult K-pop choreography someday. By the way, I trained in ballroom dancing and acrobatics, but even for me, some elements are difficult to perform without proper preparation, so maybe the person who created this material could also have had some preparation, but it is not necessarily versatile

OMG pausing at 30:06 to say I would LOVE to see an endless series from you on routines or specific moments that you would consider difficult for different reasons! I think it would be so interesting to see compilations based around a particular reason (fast/powerful, demanding a lot of energy? complex/detailed, demanding a lot of precision? requiring some uncommon technique? even the ambiguous yet hilarious "easy to look dumb if you don't commit") vs. an attempt at a general ranking or exhaustive list which becomes outdated as soon as it's released. ETA: I think/hope this kind of format would also help to avoid the "you forgot X!!!" kind of comments, since any one video would just be a group of examples of one kind of challenge. But maybe I'm being optimistic 😂

LMAO you had my exact thought throughout the whole vid. Like the op said all of these are hard but then don't give any actual technical standpoint for us to look at and understand what's their criteria of "hardness" regarding the choreo. Like yes i can see this is hard but WHY do you think it's hard? Is it the pockets, is it the genre of dance, is it the composition? Are you specifying to one section in the choreo to be really hard or the routine as a whole? Some of these choreo are not too difficult for me to catch up on eventhough it's not within my realm/style of dance, so is it really hard or is it just subjective to me? Like i need proper explanation LMAO. Eventhough for the most part i don't think it's misleading as i do agree some of these are indeed difficult, it still doesn't give much valuable analysis from their own evaluation as a dancer. I do however love how you give a "proper" break down to give other people what aspect to focus on in order to understand what part of it makes it difficult or hard for people to get used to. Keep up the good work❤

It's a tricky one to get right for sure! My reaction to these excerpts was more in like with the "Justification" of difficulty rather than whether or not they are difficult within themselves!

i seen some professional dancers or idols try to cover move but i never saw someone being able replicate taemin. It's probably because of his body that is pretty unique. His legs are very long and feminine and from his torso he is very square. + you know the position of his feet is very unique. @@jess_holyfield

Agree with you with this! His movement quality is tricky to replicate, but the concept of technique as a schema is an isolated legato polyrhythm! Polyrhythm's in general are tricky so it makes sense the implicit knowledge needed to be able to replicate even close to his version! I know one day I may be forced by voting to take that chorus on and I don't know if I would be able to replicate it the same because MY HIPS DON'T LIE haha!~@@sirdromos2769
