Listen to Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Sponge, Foo Fighters, Queen, Kiss, Tenacious D, blink 182, Gin Blossoms, Metallica, Slayer, Beastie Boys, Styx, Poison, Quiet Riot, Bon Jovi, Journey, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Led Zeppelin, etc. I got a long list. One bonus band Greta Van Fleet whom many people say they're exactly like Led Zeppelin. I agree mostly but not 100% because Greta Van Fleet has their own lyrics and they're showing great potential by bringing classic rock n roll back. Waiting for their next album which is likely to be released this April. Anyways, this song is trash, my opinion though. I'm that 478th dislike on here, we need more melody in music nowadays. Pop and mumble rap won't cut it.

I just listened to these guys for the first time yesterday, via punk rock mba. What a great bunch! I'm 43 and was raised on old school punk and metal, I gotta say they rock. I've been listeing to Afterburner on repeat, it's total ear candy. Great poppy choruses, (this song's chorus is the best,, can't get enough of it!), jazzy noodling on guitar and great skill for building songs, they always throw a curveball at your ears, they always have something that shifts away from the obvious. Great job!

Ive listened to this song maybe 10 times now. And even though its 4 minutes long. It feels like 1 Their music is so good that a 4 minute song feels short This is a good sign for this album

Everyone's wondering why Jon's sitting and chilling. Tillian wanted a philosophical song and lyrics. Jon's answer: "Philosophy don't bother me, come back when you're trash.". *proceeds to sit on sofa and be disinterested*

I think this song is about the soul where Strawberry's Wake is about the mind. In the age of progress the mind is treated like a respected mature being where soul is treated like a child. It is free of judgement, burden and passage of time and is never taken seriously. This song encourages you to respect your soul as it may be well over a million years old while your brains time in this world is limited and its always clinging to reasons full of doubt and fear. But again, I only "think" this way so maybe its just my mind trying to reason with me. What I FEEL is that this song is fucking awesome.

Such a powerful chorus. Is Jon being on the couch just chillin a nod of self awareness that he isn't being as utilized as the others here? Honestly, the songs are perfect as they are. I just don't know how he doesn't get bored sometimes with how much he is becoming a backup vocalist instead of co vocalist.

TL:DR Dorian minor in G for verse and B for chorus notes. well the verse is a Dorian minor scale ig and in the key of G. he ascends A, B, C, D ,E F#, G, then goes down A, G, F# and hangs on the F#. the notes he sings in the chorus are, in order C#, D, B, B, C#, G#, A, G# E. A, G#, E, C#-D-C# B. On the last time through it ends on A, G#, F#. It still seems to be the same scale but just in a different key. which probably has to do with the chords being played. this is a really late comment but some answer is better than none at all I suppose. sorry for the brick of text.
