Laurieanne's intentions here were to trash all the things Abby put into the girls' heads: That they're lazy, not talented enough, mediocre and what not. She took all of that negativity and turned it into something that would empower the girls to step out of that mindset. That's why I feel the girls ended up deciding to leave the ALDC and Abby. They opened their eyes and realized they were being abused and belittled.

I like the fact that she didn’t directly call her lazy. She asked her if she was. What I LOVE the most is that she helped Kendall process her emotions and let her know it’s okay to be emotional! I love Abby too, don’t get me wrong, but Laurie Ann’s delivery of the correction was better than Abby’s.

I think she said that to Kendall the best way she could have. She calls her lazy and then convinces her that she’s not lazy so she works harder. By the end when she was yelling she was laughing instead of crying 😊

I think reality TV does this. You get lots of fans of the show, you get lots of jobs linked to the show, you win lots of staged competitions, the fans say how wonderful you are online- and then you start thinking you are better than all the other kids. SO then you stop your training as much and stagnate or regress because hey, you can buy a music video and get cast in a commercial. Plus their moms always cushion the blow anytime they are told the truth (Melissa is an exception). Meanwhile there are kids at better studios working their butts off but aren't on TV. Those are the kids who will get hired because they can show they will work for everything.

Yeah and it makes sense that none of them have booked any major jobs now, especially since they kept edging about they wanted to work in the "professional" industry. Yet the only thing some of them do now is post pretty pictures on instagram, with nothing else going on (at least for the likes of Kendall and Kalani)

Kalani was one of the hardest workers there. She actually loves dance and continues to dance in college on a scholarship. Most of the others just moved on from dance as quickly as possible and had no intention of becoming professionals.

Laurianne is what they needed in the first place. If they didn't have the traumatic experiences with Abby, they would've been so much more receptive to her tough teaching style because they would've known that she wasn't unsafe. But since they did and do have those experiences, they just go into trauma response mode and don't know how to respond or use their voices to express how they really feel. It's really sad to watch and I wish them all the best in their post Dance Moms lives

Yes I think she did that because she wanted Kendall to know how to handle that to show her how to fight back in an empowered way. She is a great choreographer I am not sure about her competition knowledge because the judges I don't think that they see her type of choreography and she doesn't normally do that but she definitely is a great lady and instructor which once she learned what the judges like she would be unbelievably unbeatable to bad she doesn't do that more often. But props to her she is amazing!

Sometimes when you're having trouble with a dance or even if not you are trying your absolute hardest and teachers say you are being lazy or it's not enough it can really hurt. When they keep saying it's not good enough and you can't do anything more it makes you do worse because you don't enjoy it anymore and feel like you're trash. However, I really like the way Lorianne handled this, I think it's really helpful to have Kendal express how she really feels
