Oh no, the excessive additional image sharpening in video post-processing is back, please dial the settings back to the levels of the recent Jurassic Park recording. The only things shimmering or flickering should be deliberate lighting effects and not any clean contours like piano keys. The performances as well as the sound are splendid, so I’d like to see the complete package reach reference level.

It is not a piano he plays on but an instrument called a Celesta. That is the way it sounds in real life to, it has that shimmering sound🙂

I know that in the piece it’s not a piano that’s being played. ;) My critique is solely about image filtering that’s messing with contours, look at the two unused pianos on the left of the stage and how (visually) noisy their white keys are when the camera is moving around. These visual artifacts are almost everywhere with clean contours. The annoying part is that it doesn’t have to be this way but somewhere in the production chain someone checked a box that shouldn’t be checked in a program.
