Oh this is beautiful... So gentle and mysterious and almost mystical... one of my favourite Tchaikovsky piece

When I was a little girl, I used to sing in a choir. For four years, we were the choir voices of the Nutcracker ballet that played in town (if I’m not mistaken, it was the Moscow Ballet) every night they had a show, for the Waltz of the Snowflakes but as needed as well. I have the fondest memories of that time, where backstage I watched the ballet, and also from the seats when we were done singing. This ballet is everything, I can’t hold my tears when I listen to it. Tchaikovsky had such a talent to capture emotions.

Originally this piece was written for the Glass Harmonica but it's delicate & can break easily so most Orchestras today use a Celesta (as this one does) as a Substitute.

I have fallen in love with this music. Melody endures for ever and Tchaikovsky, too will never die. I think that Berliner Philharmoniker perform is effective, forceful and original in all spheres of musical creativity - whether instrumental, piano and symponic music, as well as opera and ballet. I have been so impressed by Sir Simon Rattle as an artist and person that I feel that he has spiritually taught me a lot. I think he is the most delightful person of all men and artists I have ever known.

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky is an integral part of the Great World Culture. It is impossible not to admit it. Just like it can't be canceled. I express my Admiration and Gratitude to those real People in Europe who, despite all the idiocy surrounding them, do not give up to darkness and serve Common Sense, Music and Light! Honor and Respect to such People from Moscow. Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!!! P.S.: the translation below will be via an online translator, so I apologize in advance for possible inaccuracies:).
