Why this doesn't have a million views is incredibly disheartening. This is absolutely astonishing and beautiful is far too simple a term to describe. Thank you creating and sharing.

Of all my new video notifications this was the one I rushed to. I must admit that at first I was a bit disappointed, met by carillon four hands instead of a real duet. Then I realised that there are probably no place on Earth that you could actually play a carillon duet... Or is there a town with two carillons within earshot? How awesome would that be! And in the end, I was not disappointed at all, Sugarplum Fairy is almost made for bells and sounds absolutely fantastic in your hands.

Great question! There are some places where you could conceivably play two carillons at the same time. Some towers have two carillons in them! The problem is those carillons are usually not tuned to each other. Something I have seen done, though is not duet between tower carillon and mobile carillon. It's pretty fun! Thanks for watching!

You sir, are costing me my question in the most positive way. Plying those bells! Play them well! (They watch)

This sounds AMAZING ! On most pieces I'm quite sensitive about the "harmonic friction" caused by the minor third overtones of carillon bells, but for some reason I barely heard it in this piece (maybe because there aren't many major thirds ?)

maybe more so due to the chromatic movement in the piece :-)

very novel. But I can't help wishing I might hear you two play it on a celesta. something with less dwell.
