dipper having a crush on wendy is some of the realest shit in this show, most young boys have had a crush on a babysitter or something that realistically was never gonna work out, i think the show handles it pretty well, and making them 12 and 15 is kinda the perfect age gap where its obvious it wont work, but also leaves it open to interpretation about them maybe getting together once they're both adults where a 3 year gap gets far less significant.

Yeah same. Also I love how this episode lead to the other bad outcome of cloning: Your clones are you, so you talk in a literal echo chamber, with none of the clones being able to realize bad ideas are bad because they are in the exact same state of mind you are in. Although I don't think severe is right. Medium (which is what I had) is more accurate: you can still talk, but it is very draining and you feel always awkward and you need to summon great amounts of energy to even do something lile open/knock on a door and ask a question.

For anyone in the comments who would like to know, and don’t worry I’m 90% sure Alicia isn’t reading the KZbin comments so she doesn’t get spoiled. But anyway, Tracey and Quattro (Dipper Clones #3 and #4) DO survive. They’re still alive even when the series ends. It’s theorized they just live in the woods forever now since they’re technically immortal as long as they don’t come into contact with liquids and we see a picture of them camping in the woods in Mabel’s Scrapbook credits sequence.

@@mundoatena1674 suffice to say, 'Tyrone' is a name used in certain circles to describe a conventionally attractive stud of a man (a *black* man, specifically), that is syphoning potential partners out of the dating pool. in those circles, the name is spoken with venom, in pretty racist tones. anecdotally, none of this started happening online until way after this episode aired, so the creators were definitely NOT trying to characterize Dipper as being the kind of person to have this idea about 'Tyrones'. I'm pretty sure they just thought it would be a funny fake name for the Dipper clone, while tying into the insecurity Dipper has about his own nickname and real name.

Not really that obvious. Nowadays it's very rare for this type of relationship develop into a couple in cartoons, but back when Gravity Falls was airing, it wouldn't have been surprising at all, considering there had been worse couples to become official. And to this day on adult cartoons, anime and live action shows it's still quite common
