We missed you too, Elliott :’) Also, really impressed that you got the concept on your first watch because I understood NOTHING during my first watch 😂 And, yes, most carats are guessing that the storyline will continue in the future May comeback! If I’m not mistaken, Woozi also wrote the lyrics for this one. One funny story: About the lyric “I want to know our problem, blood type or DNA?”. In Korea, it is common to check compatibility based off of blood type, though the trend has now shifted to MBTI instead (it’s been quite some time as well). Woozi said he didn’t know that blood types were only a thing in South Korea, and if he knew he probably would’ve changed those lyrics. This is irrelevant but I just found it cute of him to still think of blood types when even SoKor has moved on to MBTIs hahah.

the story telling in this mv kinda deep from what carats observed vernon realised that he don’t have any shadow and he went back to tell the boys and he tried telling the truth when there’s part he put Joshua’s hand under the light to proof that they don’t have shadow also they’re timeless at that place and it means that they’re living in their youth and the world with only happy things but then they decided to find their shadows and once they find out some clues the shadows slowly coming out and after that the clock starts ticking back and they’re suddenly fall to parallel world which is considered as the real world where they need to faced a lot of diff people that full with fear and the Neverland world consider as their dreams. Idk how to interpret the theories but hope u understand a bit how the story goes and for the ending part they will reveal it during the full comeback later^^ I’m glad u comeback with svt content miss u a lot!

“What the f**k happened?” 😂lol the entire Carat fandom feels you, we were the same. Lots of theories are actually on a lost boys, Peter Pan style storyline in this MV with the part 2 coming with title track in may. They don’t have shadows, there is a sun symbol on the shade above minghu and woozi, scrabble shadow grow link into vernon realising he can’t shade his eyes in the sun as he casts no shadow and we all know Peter lost his and found in in Wendy DARLING’s home, the box in the water has a compass perhaps a link to 2nd star to the right, the church like building full of clothes dressed over chairs to pretend to be lots of other people they can’t remember, lots of teddy bears I thought perhaps if lost boys who all go to never land as babies or very young they would all probably have a teddy with them at the time so there are lots there, the paintings hidden behind the white walls show the church building before, when they look into the mirrors they grow shadows and jeonghan sees a different him in the reflection, the happy faces cry, there seems to be an alternative version or world when vernon perhaps finds tinkerbell or a clue that unlocks things as then their whole world crumbles away to the dark version. They end up in a dark, apocalyptic shelter that’s crumbling as they show signs of cuts and bruises. Either they have been in a trap, denial, or certainly something but this makes the new chapter even more exciting to anticipate! There is a new contemporary dance piece by TH8 you might like, Abyss. You can just watch off screen but as a dancer I think you will like. It’s linked only in part to his solo song Hai Cheng which has some lovely sentimental lyrics and snippets of dance. Falling is a piece he choreographed, and sings and it’s stunning. His other contemporary piece is instrumental and he incorporates his b-boy dancing in there too.

It's been a minute since we've seen seventeen indeed. Someone has mentioned it but yes you are spot on with the lost boys neverland inspired lore!! The members mentioned something about parallel worlds I think? Which you can briefly see a peak of during the bridge. Darl+ing is a pre-release for their upcoming full album in May, and so the story will be continued in the next mv. Really enjoyed your reaction this time too, and glad you enjoyed the song as much as we all did too😌

The theme is Peter Pan there is lots of clues throughout clocks we all know Captain Hooks story with the alligator and clock, Teddy bears throughout representing the youngest boy of the Darling family who carries a teddy bear. Book titles on the books which are various titles of Peter Pan or lost boy titles. The scrabble board as you read shadows and grow. Vernon pulling Joshua's hand into the sunlight and no shadow appears. The Peter Pan book itself is in the video as well. In the field when S.coups is left standing alone his shadow grows. When Hoshi cuts himself on glass of the broken vase his blood drips and then turns into a black shadow. Woozi wiping the mirror and his shadow grows. Jeonghan wiping the mirror and his reflection is different from his appearance Pixie dust throughout the video. Vernon cupping the light which I would say is probably referring to maybe Tinkerbell. During the behind the scenes filming of the video Hoshi himself said they were in Neverland. There probably more clues as well. Yes the story is to be continued with the title track of the new album according to the MV director. I could explain the storyline to you but I see another comment someone already did a good job of explaining. Plus yes Woozi and Bumzu had a hand in the writing but don't forget Joshua and Vernon are both fluent in English so I am sure they probably had a hand in teaching proper pronunciation to the others.

Literally caratland was left speechless and confused after the MV ended 😭🤣 this song is actually has deeper meaning into it (Peterpan, Neverland,Lost Boys & Wendy Darling) and it gave us a bittersweet feelings especially what happened towards the end of the mv which many carats believe will lead to their next comeback. So much theories and also connections from their previous album/songs too! And yes this is only a pre-release track and full album will be out on May 27 called "Face The Sun" !!! 😭🧡

Okay. First of all the MV is related to peterpan and neverland. here, we have 13 peter pans second, do you notice at the first where the song started where vernon is laying down on the grass at that part vernon noticed that the bird had a shadow so he put out his hand at the sky to test if he also have a shadow but turns out he didn't have one, their world started to crumble. wonwoo possibly also knew about the shadow at the part where is showed the cross words puzzle "shadow grow" then the part joshua hold the flowers that part vernon was telling them they don't have shadows. the part where wonwoo's "don't wanna say goodbye" oddly enough wonwoo seems to be concious and aware about what was going to happen as the members slowly opens their eyes some of the members started to have wounds you can see that the other world started to appear then their shadows , a parallel dark world now has also started to appear then a darker version of members also started to appear the part where jeonghan was wiping the mirror..as all of their shadows are now shown the dark and unfamiliar world has come and soon they started to feel into the other world , a new version of themselves arise the ending may be the hint to what concept would it be for their next comeback. so yeah thats the theory

yes, the theory is base of a peter pan story. where seventeen are peter pan(probably wonwoo) and the lost boys, and CARATs are their wendy DARLING (yeah mind blowing). the whole theory is all over twitter :) and also they have a performance on MTV check it out pleaseeee btw I've been waiting for you to react to Darling, because as a CARAT there are only few reactors in youtube that can really explain and react well to a SEVENTEEN song and you are one of my faves. In the part where vernon went barging in the room, closing the curtains.. he was actually trying to show the other 'lost boys' his discovery on the bridge with how he noticed that the bird that flew above him had a shadow and he realized that they didn't have one (which connects to the story of Peter Pan losing his shadow) Vernon then showed them at the part where they were surprised to see the flower joshua was holding had a shadow but he didn't have one. **Some carats are saying that this can be a symbolism because shadows also symbolize the existence of some lurking darkness or source of evil. Moving forward to the mv, you can see that as it progresses, the guys are slowly having shadows. they're starting to 'grow up'(?) from being lost boys (the part when woozi erases the paint on his face, the smiley faces jeonghan drew melting, and the scene toward the end where the 'pixie dust' is lifting off of them) There's so much more theories and other ideas from carats but this is what's on the back of my mind rn so I hope you can somehow get the idea abt it !! 😊💖

I forget who, but behind the making of this MV there are those who admit that this is neverland, and according to the theory circulating "Darling" refers to Wendy Darling in Peterpen. So it's not wrong if everyone feels this MV is like Neverland where there is no sadness and pain. And SVT refers to Lost Boy who can't grow so when they realize that they are trapped in Neverland (having no shadow) they are drawn back to the real world where there is only sadness, pain and no light.

woozi had everything to do with this! surprisingly vernon and joshua were not involved. official credits composer: woozi, bumzu, monotree lyrics: woozi, bumzu, shannon (previously member of pristin, now a member of prismfilter group) and you caught on pretty well! yes it is neverland and lost boys. they didn't have any shadows and wonwoo was the one who knew but didn't say anything bc he wanted them to all stay and wanted them to keep feeling happy. It's why there are small details with his scenes that show that he knows the truth. but vernon, our boy who love matrix ofc is our neo and lets his fam know that there is something weird in this world bc they have no shadows. as the truth comes out, their reality starts chipping away and falling apart until eventually, they actually fall through some wormhole or something and are in another world or "the real world". the theories on twitter are amazing~this is all part of the bigger project for the 4th full album. this all started with the 5th ring The Sun Rises. Then Darl+ing is what ties the ring to the next album, a precursor of what's to come with Face the Sun. it's so exciting! always love watching your reaction to seventeen, Elliott!! it's always a must see 😊

Concept is happy lost boys Peter Pan, they don't have actually idea w/ that. In the first part, Vernon while lying found out that his hand don't have shadows. Then he told the boys (scene that, they close all curtains and shows shua don't have shadow and shock) then they start to find why and how, (just want to point out, when dk singing in the church dk mic are not plugged. He got it and insert it to teddy bear's heart. Feel like songs sent to heart of carats) then since boy learned they starts being conscious and found things and grows shadows, the world they knew start crumples,. And fear is, coming, we might anticipate a dark concept in comeback tracks

How I explain this MV to people: "Look....so it looks like such a bright MV...but there's something wrong.... Okay pause...what's written on the floor? REAL FEAR! Notice something else?! HE HAS NO SHADOW!!! They all don't have shadows!!!.... And Cheol was.just playing with the members but he removes his blindfold AND HE'S ALL ALONE!!!! Look, they get back their shadows one by one. Now look at Jeonghan...he looks perfectly normal, but look at his reflection after he wipes the mirror! THAT'S DARK JEONGHAN!!! Now looks at them start to slowly crumble.... WOOHOO!!! Now they get pulled into a dark alternate universe!!!! Look at the "Fear is Coming" at the end! Now we wait for the comeback this May to find out what happens to them!!!
