Yesterday I decided to learn contemporary dance. Because it is just amazing to watch and...well I need a change in live. Today I learned this. I feel comfortable with the moves, I have learned a lot about my body during the last couple of hours. So thank you for putting this together. Tomorrow I will go to a danceschool in my city and join a course. I used this sequence on the last minutes of "Agnes Obel - The Curse (Berlin Sessions)" and it fits perfectly in there. Going to sleep with excitement and joy about my achievement today.

oH mAn hOly shiT -JK I looked at a video in my recommendation, and It was a dancing vid for kpop songs. I checked it out and I suddenly got inspired to dance. This girl caught my interest and in the sea of comments, i managed to find her insta. I looked at her videos and I just wanted to slap myself for giving up on dance before. She danced so well and I wanted to dance like her. This was today. I remembered Jimin did contemporary dance ( i’m pretty sure ) and I look up to him so I decided that I would check out this video. I’m so emotional so contemporary is perfect for it. I want to learn it so bad so i’m self teaching myself! Hopefully i get good in 5 years! XD 💜💜💜

One of my contemporary teachers always lectures me on how my contemporary technique is too "ballet-y". I'm taking advanced classes but I really don't like this more rough style of hers, I prefer something like yours but if you were depressed, you know? 😂 I love the reaaaally sad choreographies where the dancer seems like they're on the verge of tears and suffering throughout the whole routine but I don't get to practice that at all, unfortunately.
@isobelmurtagh22855 жыл бұрын
Infernal Cookie that’s because ur teacher actually teaches contemporary and they know that contemporary and lyrical are not the same thing but most people don’t think there’s any difference between contemporary and lyrical this video is lyrical not contemporary
@vayermenoviko0linixD5 жыл бұрын
@@isobelmurtagh2285 lyrical most commonly means an interpretation of the lyrics. Sure, it's the emo sibling of contemporary but contemporary itself isn't just a fast-paced, full of handstands and headstands kind of dance. It can be slower and a bit more "flowy". And that's what I'm more into (and of course lyrical but I think it's a bit harder for me)
@xTwilightWolvesx5 жыл бұрын
Infernal Cookie You might want to go for something like modern. Modern uses some of ballet’s technique, but it’s more “rebellious.”
