You are speaking truth and thank you! Police horses are the most trained and as we say in the horse world 'bomb proof' i can guarantee you that if this horse was scared there would be no way in hell the rider would be able to keep him there. These horses have been trained for every possible scenerio you can think of. They can not be skittish, spook easy, kick, strike etc. If this horse was spooked and had kicked or shied out from underneath the rider, people would be injured and that would be a lawsuit for the PD. Please arm yourselves with knowledge prior to spreading lies.

Mardi Gra parades start 30 days before Ash Wednesday, so party on!

I have been around around a lot of horses and lived in two cities that have large mounted police patrols Philly and DC and have never seen anything like this horse. That horse is young and I watched it several times and the officer isn't giving any commands and I really thought when the horse bowed he probably did but after watching just those 5 seconds 10 times the officer was actually looking to the left and then turned quickly when the horse bowed since he felt the horse bow and had to focus on the horse to make sure he didn't stumble. Those who think the horse was scared you don't know what your talking about if that horse was scared his ears would have been pinned back and would have spooked his ears were straight up the whole time and was having a great time like he was playing. Either he was trained to dance to music and does it on his own or he was a dressage horse or he is just a HAM and loves to be the center of attention. Whatever makes him do this it is just priceless and best video I have seen in a long time

I loved how the horse took the time to count the beat and then was so light on his(her?) Feet! I was watching the ears which were folded back to dampen the noise but still perked up to show that he(she?) Was very pleased to be there! And fun fact, horses do not bow if they are scared! They remain standinf or start bucking and kicking their feet. They make a hell of a racket when they are scared. So to those who keep claiming the horse is scared: he(she) is not. Also a nice shoutout to the rider! You have good coreand leg muscles to keep upright while yoyr mount is boogeying to that sweet New Orleans Jazz!
