I know that it's just a movie, but I have to say that there's something magical about the fact a simple human being managing to catch the eye of the leader of God's army. So much so that the archangel would sooner choose to spend his time with her than with his brothers and sisters in heaven.

Me too, I’ve loved this movie for so long. It’s interesting that In scripture the confusion about “bad angels fell from heaven to make Nephilim,” when the Bible talks about fallen angels it means the ones who fell & became demons with the devil when was kicked out of heaven before he taints Eden. The angels in Genesis closer to Noah’s time that marry human women and procreate demigod children with them are recorded to be Just Angels not demonic not evil just normal angels and some of them chose good and love while some chose selfishness. In the midrash it says angels asked god if they could dwell and marry to which he gives them permission to go to earth, implying that these ones Fell In Love, not cast from heaven but rather given blessing to depart. The midrash says myriads which could be an uncountable number, implying that all of heavens angels were given this choice whether or not all of them acted upon this desire is debatable but many of them did. The problem in Genesis and why the flood was caused was when some of these angels chose to rule as heathen gods choosing to be wicked instead of following The Lord. And just like one bad egg ruins a basket, the story has been the same since. I mention this bc Michael, Gabriel and Raphael are sent to bind azazel and the other angels that perverted their mission to Tartarus, implying that they did not seek female company or earthly enjoyments. In scripture Michael is akin to Jesus and many believe that Jesus is Michael just incarnated and given another name. The one message I like about this movie is love, and that if angels cannot marry or give love to people as we are to each other; than at least Michael(Jesus) can still Share that love with us reminding and teaching us to always shine it on others as they do us.

Michael does not take her to Heaven after her death. She was also an angel are part of Micheal's real mission. In the end they go back to Heaven together until God sends them on another mission
