I came to see if there is an answer as to why there is a microwave but it says no eating or drinking. Is it only for like breastmilk?
@Puddingskin018 ай бұрын
@@CaprichosBooks It's actually a decorative microwave, but it decided to work for DancingBacons.

I assume it means that you are not allowed to sit next to the microwave while you eat/drink your food. Because it is meant to be used by everyone and you'd be in the way. @@CaprichosBooks

I think that one is probably in the lobby area of a layover hotel. Just one in downstairs covers most use cases so they don't put one each in every rooms, meanwhile small coffee tables in the lobby area are more for luggage and aren't meant to be dining tables, and now you've got a microwave oven in a place no one shall consume food
@manifestationnation9 ай бұрын
For those who have never been to Japan, notice how many people are there in that airport yet how quiet it is? When I went for the first time I legit thought something was wrong because it felt too quiet for the amount of people that were around.
@kenmaje67819 ай бұрын
You haven't met Chinese tourists in Japan
@zariarogers28469 ай бұрын
I honestly hate how LOUD the US is and wish it were more quiet like Japan. No I don't need to hear your music on the street, no I DONT want to hear your party at 3am, no I DONT want to hear your domestic dispute screams in the airport while I am stuck there on a 2 hour wait for my next flight, and I for sure do not want to hear your toddler screaming at a bar-restaurant at 8pm because they dont serve apple juice and your kid is also clearly tired, but going out to eat is more important than letting your kid sleep.
@joewilson33939 ай бұрын
I was thinking the other sounds are very similar. The constant dull roar in the background of engines and air conditioners. The sound of feet and wheels. The distant murmur of voices. The overhead PA system giving information that in general is not really useful.

I love that _Neon Genesis Evangelion_ is still inspiring modern products, almost 30 years after its 1995-96 original run. What a fun and what an extremely surreal, messed-up experience it was for me watching the original anime, and some of its offshoots.

What's with the sign of no eating and drinking on a microwave. It's like putting a sign on a vending machine and saying to not make a selection.

I was thinking exactly the same thing! I guess however they don't want you to eat next to the microwave and instead find a table to sit down at. Oh and also, when Bacons opened the Omusubi cake and on the back it said "How to open" and the rest of the text were in japanese. 😅

I did not know NGE was still popular enough in Japan to be used to sell snacks. And it seems weird that they'd sell frozen food at an airport? I guess it would be good if you work there and have access to a microwave, or if you're heading straight home from the airport.
@AcridWhistle9 ай бұрын
Still just a big name I guess with lots of memories / otaku. A bit like KISS I guess, they will slap that name / look on damn near anything that pays a licensing fee, from Japanese horse racing, Schtick Razors, "American Style" buckets, clothing, and even Round 1 Bowling Pin Costumes (yes for real). Right now there is a new line of Asus Evangelion ROG PC gaming products that go for ludicrous amounts of money. A case, mouse, keyboard, PSU, Wifi Router, mouse / deskpad, AIO 360mm liquid cooler, motherboard, monitor, various video cards (all the way up to a 4090). The only non branded thing you needs to go into it is RAM and a SSD (assuming you don't use the external NGE branded SSD enclosure...)
