Momo Ayase and Okarun are on opposite sides of the paranormal spectrum regarding what they’ll believe in and what they won’t. Their quest to prove each other wrong leads them down a path of secret crushes and paranormal battles they’ll have to participate in to believe!
Momo Ayase strikes up an unusual friendship with her school’s UFO fanatic, whom she nicknames “Okarun” because he has a name that is not to be said aloud. While Momo believes in spirits, she thinks aliens are nothing but nonsense. Her new friend, meanwhile, thinks the exact opposite. To settle matters, the two set out to prove each other wrong-Momo to a UFO hotspot and Okarun to a haunted tunnel! What unfolds next is a beautiful story of young love…and oddly horny aliens and spirits?

Trust me when I say, this anime is the dark horse this year. An original plot, a steady content delivery, a well thought out journey. It's got everything the biggest names have that led them to success.

I understand why he’s written the way he is and appreciate that they provided a character arc and reasonable flaws. I’m a huge fan of well written anime and by no means is mob a bad one but unlike what I feel the majority of people’s positive opinions of mob was I truly found a majority of it boring because of unrelatable and static way they portray him between the art style and how seemingly slow/uninspired he can be by passion in his regular day-day seemed to make me constantly want more from him.

kaiju no 8 is a terribly generic manga. people think it's unique to have an older main character but the story offers nothing you can't find elsewhere. generically written characters, non-interesting plot, no memorable moments. this for sure takes the cake over it

As of the time I'm writing this, I'm 90 chapters in. And honestly, this is one wild card of a series for a studio to adapt, if done correctly this shit will blow EVERYTHING else out of the water that season. Dandadan often utilizes the page-turn "scare" (for lack of a better word) and detailed, sheer eye-candy double spreads every other chapter; so I have to wonder how would all that translate to animation (or whether they would even translate at all). I personally haven't watched some of the other stuff Science Saru produced but this is coming out pretty dope, and I wish them the best of the best of luck for that 🔥🔥🔥

Before this releases, I request you all to NOT compare it to CSM anime all the fucking time. The CSM anime was *meant* to look like it did, like a movie. It was like a tribute to Fujimoto’s love for movies as we saw from the opening. The animation was also good in it, not bad at all. It was smooth and clean, although it didn’t have as much gore as the manga did. This is peak, but that it doesn’t mean CSM is bad. Respect both the animes, as both are good and differently made.

So basically this guy Okarun was saved by Momo ayase(I don't remember much) he tries to talk to her by doing any normal person would do, talking about Aliens. She doesn't believe in Aliens cause she's a supernatural type person, they fought until they decided to have a bet, he goes to an abandoned tunnel or bridge she mentioned that's haunted by an evil spirit called Turbo granny, while she goes to an abandoned hospital with sightings of UFP(I don't remember why he called it that) turns out she and his beliefs were real, she got abducted and tried to be impregnated(the fuck and also that's a child sir) he got possessed(she's called Turbo granny for a reason) possessed Okarun got to her location via teleporting through her phone I think, bunch of events for plot happens, they talked like they are friends the next day and when bro went to the bathroom (°o°:)ᴼʰ my balls are gone, THE START OF NEXT PLOT.
