incredible how videogame music has in itself created a culture, groups of people like us who feel so much from these tunes !! this is a lot more meaningful to me than any other radio song which might have been a top 40 at that time. shortly after the death of my sister, my father got me a super nintendo. it was my escape and healing mechanism. Thanks to those fully imaginative worlds and beautiful melodies I was able to continue on despite the horrors of life :) thank you rare, david wise, and all involved in such masterpieces

I can remember my bro & I would take turns choosing a level just for the music. Sometimes it'd just be the map music (pirate ship world, disco train world, etc.)Then we'd set the controller down or pause the game & listen to the music or make up our own words & sing (Cranky's Theme, mostly). Usually, we'd end up going on our own adventures as Diddy & Dixie using the music as a backdrop for our journey (Disco Train & the ladder for the bunk-bed became a roller coaster.) Those were good times ~

Born in 82 and lived this era to the fullest! Todays kids(our kids) missed out this magical and unique era. The era of Rareware and Nintendo and the Sillicone graphical engines. The era match in tune with the game. Times were soo different, it was like a whole different world back then.
