So I'm thinking the Buddhist retinue of concentration IS clearing or emptying your mind. That is, empty your mind in order to have it be full once more. The Hindu vernacular is not so. I've studied the Bhavad Gita. Although I've learned that the Buddhist and Hindu pantheons have sort of a meeting of the minds in certain aspects of traditional teachings. To me, I don't follow any one religion religiously. I'm eclectic. I like having an eclectic mind. Not matter, I must admit, this man is astonishingly refreshing. You can see how full of amazing wisdom and impressive insight he has.

When we say "life is short" we mean : when you lead a life that is fulfilling, you never get bored and thus, time flies... Thank you for that good explanation of visualisation. To me, meditating is about OBSERVING the movement of the mind until you can finally SEE for yourself the dynamics between your mind and your ego, until you DISCOVER that it is your soul that commands the two others. That is what I have discovered with hundreds of hours observing the dynamic in my psyche.
