Hi Dane. I'm the one who shot this. I copied this to your friends videos as well. Some background: This was the end of the Stowaways set. The Stowaways are a collection of random artists, about 12-15, that will play covers just for fun. Think, live band karaoke with pros. About 3-4 songs from the end, I saw Ivan walk by towards the side of the stage. As in The Warning's videographer. After a couple of minutes, I decided to head over in that direction to see if the sisters were there. Yep, saw Dany. I figured they were going to just bring her up for a song, so I stuck around. The song before this was Don't Fear The Reaper and a bunch of the artists came on with cowbells. I was expecting Dany to be among them. But, nope. After that song finished, they announced The Warning and Michael Starr for the last performance. Said screw it and pulled out my phone and started recording. Side note on the annoying guy yelling at the beginning. When they announced The Warning, he said "The Warning. They kick ass!" Yeah, I gave him a pass.

Guitarist is Andy Wood. I did not know him, so I did some research and found is name, but not much else, so I asked Grok AI who he is and that is the answer I got. Andy Wood is a young rock/fusion guitar and mandolin player from East Tennessee. He started playing mandolin at the age of 5 and comes from a very music-oriented family. Andy has toured professionally with a wide range of acts, including Gary Allan, LOCASH, Rascal Flatts, Scott Stapp, and Sebastian Bach. He is also a founding member of the rock group DOWN FROM UP and has won the prestigious Guitar Center's Guitarmaggedon competition.

There is a video that starts a little sooner that shows Pau needing help finding her way on to the riser and then Starr turns to Ale and tries to give her a mic which oh course she refuses. Their is also a video shot by Charles their security guy from the side stage. This was the encore of the cruise. The stowaways is an all star jam band that do 2 fifteen song shows on the cruise. Dany was included in a small panel that did a shiprocked pod cast at the end of the cruise.

I’m pretty sure other guitarist is Tommy O’Neal from The Stowaways. Love the way he deferred to Danny for the first guitar solo then he took the solo for the extended part and Danny bowed to him. Although audio’s not perfect, this video captures the essence of a fun experience.

They grew up on this music. 2014 (the year of your Steel Panther VIP pass) was also the year of The Warning's viral breakout performance. I'd be shocked if Dany did not know Highway to Hell. If Ale did not know the bass for Highway to Hell, I'm sure Dany told her the key and that would be enough.

When Michael Starr said 'they asked me to sing a song with them' he was talking about The Stowaways. They invited him and The Warning. Highway To Hell is their closing song and they usually invite someone to join them. At the very start you can see Ale walk across to Dany for a quick talk. I'm thinking she probably doean't know the bassline for this song (it's a little basic for her taste) and asked Dany 'what do I play?'. Dany probably told her the key snd said just follow Pau.

The cruise organizers picked a theme ("monsters and devils") for the final night (hence other songs included Runnin' With The Devil, Thriller, Feed My Frankenstein, Don't Fear The Reaper, Shout At The Devil, Monster Mash, etc.) and let the players pick which song they want to do, and they had a brief rehearsal.

Given that they grew up listening to AC/DC, and the fact that she often wears an AC/DC t-shirt, I’d be surprised if Ale wasn’t somewhat familiar with the bass line. She knew enough to come in after the 1st verse. It certainly wasn’t much of a challenge for her. 😎

that quick talk was something about Ale's bass sound... the other guitar player points to and walks over to something in the front, reaches to it, and does something... then Ale tries her bass again, hears it, gives 👍, and goes back over to her spot... you can hear it in the video(s) when she tries it, too...

They played that song (Animosity) a couple of times on board. Then the ship practically destroyed a dock when they had to enter port in a storm... They lost 40 hours while the ship was repaired.

Yeah, There is not a lot of complicated drumming in AC/DC songs (it's mostly just keeping a solid beat) but this is a jam. Pau had to keep an eye on everyone to see where the song was going. She is a pro and never missed a beat. By the way, this song was out over 20 years before any of The Warning sisters were even born. Even 19 year old Ale knew the song. She held off playing at the start of the song until the bass part came in.

The Warning is awesome!!! this video of them jamming to Highway to Hell is awesome! and out of the guys that went up on stage, the only ones I initially recognized was Keith Wallen-guitarist for Breaking Benjamin, he walks over and stands by Dany. The other one is Nonpoints vocalist, and then i realized later after watching tons of times over the Bearded guy that hands out what i presume is the setlist papers to the crowd is the vocalist for Blacktop Mojo

You are correct with Leo and Elias from Nonpoint. Michael Starr was the only one from Steel Panther. Eva from Eva under Fire. A couple of the guys from Breaking Benjamin. The trip was a blast, even with the "incident".

Dane, if you're not familiar with Eva Under Fire, check them out. They're brilliant, Eva Marie has a great voice, they did an awesome cover of Separate Ways by Journey... 🤘🤘

@@stebow1977 I 100% agree!! I discovered Eva via recommendations on The Warning videos. The band is great and Eva has an AWESOME voice. I believe Eva Under Fire’s cover of Separate Ways came out a couple of months before the Daughtry/Lzzy Hale one (which is really good, but I prefer Eva’s).

This gives some perspective as to how small the girls are ... when I saw them live I was shocked how tiny these girls are (their concert was amazing BTW). In their videos they looked dominant on stage. They just got lost among all the other bands. Great video!

There are a bunch of these fan videos from ShipRocked. Interesting view of that cruise! Yeah, Pau and Ale kind of look bored there at points. That song is hardly challenging for them. They did covers like that in elementary school and middle school (Muse, Metallica, Guns and Roses, Foo Fighters...). But a fun time seems to have been had by all. I would love to go on that cruise someday. If only my wife liked rock...

@@WaldoKitty previous cruisers get first dibs on tickets, then it opens up with whatever is left. I got on the waitlist in October. In January, I received an email asking if I wanted to remain there until after the cruise. Emailed them back and said keep me there. The next day I was emailed back with an open room and jumped on it. This was my first Shiprocked. I'll probably put a deposit on next year's since you can get the deposit back if you don't like the lineup.
