The song sparked a lot of controversy due to the original lyric containing direct references to the October 7, 2023 attack of Hamas on Israel and the following Israel-Hamas war. The song is originally called "October Rain" and hence the words of Netanyahu of "Never Again" throughout the song. "Never again" to "hold me again." "October Rain" to "Hurricane."

The jury members judged Israel before the performance even began. They judged her based on the flag she was representing. One jury member here in Norway came forward and admitted it. His name is Daniel Owens. Luckily the rest of our jury members were better and gave Israel 8 points.

No, not the 1 who admitted of his political voting, but from the fact that Norway’s jury (not the people, we know that most of the sane people do support us across Europe) gave us 8 points, that really was a moment of hope… Although, only very few juries were honest at the end ❤

There are only around 1500 Jews living in Norway, which means most of the votes came from the rest of us: just regular people who don't judge someone based on their religion or nationality. And if we didn't have a radical left-wing media that constantly sides with Hamas, she would've probably gotten even more. What added to her performance was her bravery and resilience; she stood there in the middle of all the hate and she didn't even flinch. That alone made her deserving of every point she got. It was a performance in itself. It made me so happy to see the world come together and boo back at the audience and jury.

This song tells the story of the Nova music festival where 364 young people were brutally murdered by terrorists on October 7th. The singer and the dancers represent the souls of those young people. Her dress represents bandages of the wounded. The orange half disc at the back of the stage represents half risen sun - the sunrise - the terrorists' attack started with sunrise at 6:30. The hurricane - probably means that the events of October 7th were unfolding fast and devastatingly like a hurricane. Devastating mentally as well.

Eden Golan the big winner 💯ummmmm most of the points came from the audience it means she gave a perfect performance and the song is amazing.... Politics came in and the low score came from countries and corrupt judges!. This was not a singing competition but ego and hypocrisy that were obvious to the eye!! 🇮🇱🙏🏾♥️
