Tommy is an absolute musical genius! His vocal ability, his musical and instrumental ability, his ability to arrange and produce music is phenomenal! ❤Tommy is one of my favourite artists of all time! At only 36, he has been guitarist for Sabaton, leads his own band Majestica, does a lot of solo stuff on his channel and still has a very long career ahead of him. ❤ I, along with a multitude of his fans, are still waiting for him to take Eurovision by storm 😂😂😂

You'd get to it eventually, but his cover of She's Gone is stellar. Another artist to check out is Erik Gronwall. He won Swedish Idol in 2009, his audition song was a Skid Row song and last year he became lead singer of Skid Row. He does these solo videos as well, though not as many. He also does a version of Alone. Cheers!

I always have said that you'll never should make a cover cause the original was always the best but DAMN I was wrong.Tommy did a great job with both songs. Love the rock version of Celine way more than the original. I follow Dan Vasc for a long time now but I'll put Tommy to my rock list to follow too. What a guy and what a voice.

It seems that cover songs are better when it is not a band putting on a big production. There are exceptions though, like Disturbed, FFDP, Godsmack, for example, but to take a Heart song, or Celine, yeah that takes something special. Both Dan and Tommy have the something special to take those female songs and turn them into Metal Masterpiece's! Love it.

I agree ….the first three songs I heard from Tommy was 18 and a life , alone and I’ll never let you go .. there where no going back after that 🤣 .. I do think December is a good month to delve into Majestica. They have an entire album based on the story of Scrooge “a Christmas carol” not only do you get to see Tommy’s work as a composer and songwriter and the rest of the talent in Majestica .. you also get some really cool power metal Christmas music to break up the more traditional stuff with. You get the story if listened to from start to finish ( however not all songs has music videos) but every single song stands on its own Ghost of Marley, Ghost of Christmas past, joy of Christmas, this Christmas and Glory of Christmas are all good suggestion 🔥

😂if I’ve read the comments I would have seen that you planned to do Majesticas Christmas album .. oh well ..but I m always in awe of that album .. it also exits a “making of” video and an advent calender ( they have a playlist in Majesticas channel for it) where you both get short sneak peaks and randomly a little longer “behind the scenes” with the band being both brilliant fun and complete goofballs

​@@DaneBramageROCKS Awesome! Poets of the Fall is the actual band and Old Gods of Asgard is their alter ego band appearing in some games like Alan Wake and Control. Old Gods are just about to release an album with the game songs called Rebirth. The list is too long to recommend, but for POTF people often listen to some of the old stuff like Carnival of Rust and Lift, but there are gems on every album. Having said that, all the Alexander Theatre sessions are amazing (Angel is many people's favourite). These are stripped down acoustic versions of selection of their songs performed in an empty theatre during Covid. POTF are celebrating their 20th anniversary. For Old Gods of Asgard you get some serious rock with Take Control, and a beautiful ballad The Poet and the Muse. But, yes, Herald of Darkness from the Alan Wake II game is a must listen. :D There is an official music video with clips from the game, and the band appears on the game itself. (Apparently, it is really complex in the game itself, with some 100 tracks and it sounds smooth regardless of how the player gets through the scene - I have no idea, but something like that). Poets will give you a treasure trove to dive into.

Herald of Darkness is in one of the chapters of the game with four parts, and has a couple of other characters from the game performing and singing on it, who are not part of Old Gods of Asgard. They guy with the eye pirate patch in the game is Marko Saaresto, the lead singer of Poets of the Fall (he is a classically trained singer) and two other band members appear on the game. Their song 'The Poet and The Muse' is from the first Alan Wake game and the lyrics give clues on how to progress through the game. Definitely worth a listen!! The music videos by Poets of the Fall are insanely good (Carnival of Rust is an award-winning video, but it came out back in 2006!). There are plenty on their official KZbin channel. POTF is a fully independent band, by the way (they have their own record label). Can't wait for a reaction or two!

Old Gods of Asgard is a virtual metal band from the Alan Wake games, all songs are written and performed by Poets of the Fall. A bit of a contrast, they're heavier than POTF, but just as brilliant. I'd recommend Herald of Darkness, Balance Slays the Demon, and The Poet and the Muse... 🤘🤘
