This song is awesome and I love how all are allowed to shine. It is great at a concert (was into this summer in Boden) where you get everyone presented from the beginning. And what an intro. Great reaction. Fun fact: The runway is an old military base runway in Tommy’s home town Boden, northern Sweden. “Some of the Christmas stuff”. Just one of the best album out there. Make sure listening to the extended version and in right order. Now a days used mostly for driving training and some illegal street racing.

Majestica web page is a bit dated ad has very little info about the band, so I'll fill you in. This is the band Tommy started over 20 years ago ( he was 14) and they were called ReinXeed then. They have put out 6 albums as ReinXeed and there were a lot of band member changes through the years, but Alex and Chris were with Tommy since 2012. Alex sadly left the band in 2021 because of major burn injury to his hand. They changed their name to Majestica when they signed for Nuclear Blast Records because of legal issuess (copyright their old label still has for ReinXeed name and songs in certain areas) and also to mark a fresh start of sorts. So Majestica is definitely not a side project, it's his "baby", something he said he could never give up. Sabaton is his job, a job he loves, but still - it's something he needs to make a living, because Majestica is sadly not nearly popular enough to make a living for any of them. Fun fact #1: when this album was recorded they were without a drummer, so the drums on the album were played by an outside drummer- none other then Helloween's ex drummer Ulli Kusch (funny because this song is also a tribute to Helloween's Eagle Fly Free song). Fun fact #2: album cover for Above The Sky album was done by Sabaton's guitarist Chris Rörland (he is also a graphic designer)

Like @marinamucic908 said, Majestica was once called ReinXeed, so this band has been around for a bit longer than the name suggests. And as she said, they had to do the name change over copyright and other issues, much like how Rhasody had to change their name to Rhapsody of Fire about 15 years ago. But that aside, this song here in particular has in it just about everything that makes us Metalheads love Metal. At least those of us who love and/or tolerate Power Metal. It had crazy guitar solos, breakdowns, and even some orchestration parts, which appeal to my neo-classical metal fetish. You know that Heavy Metal in general is actually just Classical Music and The Blue mixed together played with electrified instruments (guitars & bass) rather than acoustics or brass and woodwimds.
