I can’t even imagine what was going through Pau’s mind sitting at that piano getting that reaction from the crowd. Talk about an affirmation that what you create is so loved by so many! I was watching this show via livestream on my big screen and I was already on the edge of my seat when they rolled the piano out. The performance of Black Holes was amazing in its own right and would have been enough but when Pau started in with the first notes of Breathe I was instantly out of my chair standing in front of my TV, somehow trying to experience the moment as if I was in the crowd on that night. I, along with everyone in attendance and watching on social media, just innately knew something special was coming and damn did Pau deliver. It’s gonna be hard for them to top the three high production shows recently from Mexico but I’m confident TW will find a way.

That night was magical. We came in ecstatic from hearing two completely new tracks on Guadalajara: S!ck, a heavy-tone track dispelling all doubts after the MORE controversy, and HYCAD were we could hear Dany reaching new notes. Then we could hear Dany again at their Monterrey hometown show tearing-up singing When I'm Alone, but also an Epic version of Enter Sandman with strings, plus Pau singing Black Holes on piano. Things could not be better for fans but then this happens. At the biggest show of their tour, in Mexico city, Pau extends her piano performance to include Breathe, a song she promised to never sing live, and everybody went crazy. I don't have words to describe how emotional the vibe was that night but the feeling will stay with me forever.

Dany is the "Rock Goddess" voice for the band, but Pau is the voice of pure, unadulterated emotion. The contrast in their basic voices and styles, while still being able to harmonize so well (to the point Pau often sings Day's parts if Dany is sick)? Just amazing. Pau said that she'd never play this song live because it's too personal to her. Then she decided to sing it for the first time because of the 8,000 seat sell-out crowd that came to see them. Then she tells the crowd that she's sick and her voice isn't well but she NEEDS to sing it FOR THEM. She makes it to the last word and her voice cracks, from the illness or emotion, only she knows, but then the crowd sings the outro for her, and in that moment, you can see the 12 year old little girl who played the Rock Band video game and dreamed about being on a stage like the animated performers in the game. Having those 8,000 people in front of her actually LOVE something that she created and loving her enough to help her get through it, and feeling all that emotion, she would have to be a machine to not lose her composure. She recently reposted a clip of this on her Instagram with the caption, "Nothing more humbling than crying in front of 8,000 people." I've only been aware of this band since mid-December. They own my heart. I gave it freely.

yep they deserve all the recognition theyre getting now. Pau winning the Drumeo Rock drummer is a great tip of the hat but it goes to show how great the TWA is to get in and get them noticed. Not even Taylor Swifts drummer won his category of pop drummer.. which to says alot about the fans.. they dont pay attention to her back up band. So will be cool to see Freeze The Fall as well get noticed as they are in BC/Canada but with the TWA getting noticed all over now as well. BUT ye Breathe got me the first time or 2 seeing it live. This band is doing it in a way that they did not need the music "gate keepers" for their popularity. They have earned it, one view at a time, and one kick ass live performance at a time. Which also means they haven't had to sell their soul for where they are at. And no threat by a label can take away from them the people that are loyal to them as a band. This also means that it's near impossible to pierce the "Clear Channel" airwaves without the "gate keepers" approval. I am absolutely sure in this day and time where the Meta is a strong independent feminine role model, that they would love to get their hands on this band if they could control and own it. It doesn't seem like this family is making that mistake. The Warning will always be the people's band and never a label's band. An everlasting flame if you will.

It is what it is. I chose the one that had the most views and was a support site for The Warning. I have no regrets.
