I love the way that Danelectro 59M NOS+ looks and sounds plus it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. It takes me back to the early years of rock and roll.

I literally said "WOW" when you flipped it over. That's one hellva paint job, reminds me of a bass boat, but in a good way. I dig it. I can't be the only one to notice that the pick guard looks like an upside down seal.

I recall when this guitar first came available from Danoelectric and I remember RJ's demo also. It's a killer! I finally jumped in and ordered the Blue Metalflake from Sweetwater (I almost went for the Triple Divine), and I can only hope that I have half as much fun with it as the two previous Dano's I have owned in the past. I have serious guitars like my Tele, 335, Jazzmaster and they all get their time to shine. But none can do what the Danelectro '59 can, with it's sound that is so unique (cuz of the lipsticks and chambered body), so they will have to sit in the corner while crank out my AM radio favorites from the 60's and early 70's. Any guitar that has been favored by so many legendary players needs to be given space in an eclectic players rack. And anything that looks this damn good needs to be front and center.

I got one of these. And boy oh boy is it a pain to restring. Glad to know a professional agrees.
Wow, what a beautiful guitar. Danelectros are so much fun to play, they probably make the best " cheap" guitars in the world.

Love the look of this guitar ! I remember in the early 60's that a lot of guys first electric guitar was a Dano . Kind of hard to afford a Gibson when you are 15 years old . Looking back , Fenders were not that popular when I was a kid , of course they had only been in business for about 10 years , and were very radical looking compared to Gibsons . Seems like the term " Thin Sounding " was used a lot for Fenders . Harmonys were very popular and Kay . I have to say my dream guitar was a Blue Fender Jag . Although I have never had one I have owned a bunch of Teles and Strats through the years . The Jag is still on my bucket list !

Nice guitar, but great jab there Phil! Someone needs to stand up to them! A possible defense could be ‘Fogerty v CCR’? Play the chords but not the ‘exact’ song. John Fogerty did that in court and won. Just a thought, that whole situation is nuts!!
