Yep, the Dark Mater is a great pedal, the same as many other affordable TC pedals. You could build a great pedalboard with little money with TC stuff.

Mine still gets a lot of use In front of a vintage Peavy Standard PA head which has a very powerful eq section Out to a Black widow 18” cab This will doom so hard It can do other styles as well as demonstrated here

Heh, my old guitar teacher 20+ years ago had one of these and sweared by it for hi gain tones. Those original Danelectro pedals were great, but the build quality was ehhhh, at best. I had their Dan Echo - fantastic sounding pedal, but the jacks, in particular, were shit and broke quickly.

The build quality of this one is not bad at all. Very sturdy metal casing. The jacks are not the best, agree with that.

@@WeAsACompany Yeah, it's the jacks that are the absolute weak point. Board mounted, too, so if they went, the board went too, which means you end up with a paper weight. :-( One guitarist I know went through 4 Dan echos.
