She co-wrote the lyrics. She wanted let everyone know how fame since childhood makes her feel, and how she feels Tied to the persona that is not her today, whether she wanted to be or not.

The tied is the image she has been tied to since she was a young girl. She is most definitely not a little girl anymore. She has a direction she wants to go and it is a dark mood she is after. Daneliya is young and sometimes someone has to go down a few roads before they find their path. Now I have my wish for her, because I've made most of the mistakes known to man, and hope her mistakes are few and short-lived, if at all.

Prior to this, I never felt the need to express my emotions, fearing the vulnerability it would bring. Writing about your fears, feelings and constructing a song based on your inner emotions had made me realise how important it is to share your story with your core fans.“Tied” is about my past experiences as an artist, who maybe got exposed to this business too early and therefore never had a chance to fully develop my own opinion and creativity. Good reaction, Roscoe! From a technical point of view, Daneliya's singing on this track shows that her vocal skills are maturing nicely. There is a haunting, evocative character to her voice here which just wasn't present in her earlier vocals as a young girl, and this indicates that she is developing into a multi-dimensional talent. About the lyrics, Daneliya has already made clear in various comments that they are intended to reflect the frustrations and resentments she still harbours about her life as a 'child star', being pressured by her handlers - family, producers, recording execs, etc. - and maybe even her devout fanbase, and that as result she feels like a 'puppet on a string'. The first time I heard this, I was moved and sympathetic. After witnessing the slaughter of thousands of children in Gaza over the past few weeks though, I'm finding it more difficult to be empathetic about tales of middle class, teen angst. Sounds harsh, I know, especially because I've been a big fan of hers for years. But it's just how I'm feeling right now...
