O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Sure takes me back to when I was a little lad & my dad had that K100 that I so loved. Cabovers have always had a special place in my heart. The drivers that worked for my dad were always willing to share stories & pics of trucks & memories of their travels. You even had Mr. Bill that gave you rides in his truck. I had family members that took me for rides. Such wonderful times! Thanks for sharing the pics. Blessings my friend! 🥰😎✌️

Thank you for the slide show of happiness. I'm a COE guy. 1st. They're lined up side by side equally. Actually? We could start with a Transtar and a Peterbilt Then a Astro and a K100 and a Mack F700. Toss in a Frieghtshaker and a Titan. Doesn’t matter. Mix them up! But, start with the Transtar and let them go shoulder to shoulder into the sunset. Thanks again for taking time to make a 63 year old dream of the other day. God bless and safe travels. Prayers for round two of the hurricane season.

These remind me a lot of the late '70s & into the '80s. I would see a lot of these going thru town from California heading east or north. At the time the interstate (I-10) ended just west of the Phoenix city limits and trucks had to drive about 10 miles thru town before reconnecting to it. I knew someday I would drive one. At the time I was driving mostly LN Fords.

Another great video Dane! Thanks for the memories. The one thing I didn't like about the K 100, in very cold weather, they would keep you from freezing, but wouldn't keep you warm. I drove a 77 K 100, and a 77, GMC Astro. The Astro was much more comfortable in very cold weather (20 below F) otherwise they were very good trucks. (Just my opinion)
@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGE2 ай бұрын
Thanks Bert, you’re not the first one that has said that about the Astro being a good ride in the winter. Not heard that about the K 100 before though. But you actually experienced it my hat tipped to you buddy. Sorry for the late response.

Speaking of Kenworth, Roadkings is about to release the 1/18 scale Movin On kw soon in the U.S. It's out in the European market now. While totally not accurate to the real one, it still looks nice and has the S. Pruitt graphics on the doors. Roadkings has also released the Rubberduck R'model Mack, same scale with Rubberduck graphics on the doors. Your KW 100 looks great, and see a few on occasion around the South Bend area.

If I remember correctly the first year for rectangular headlights on KW's was '82 for the W900 and '85 for the K100.
