The ending of this game presents one of the most interesting dilemmas I've ever encountered in the video games I have played or any other sort of media I have consumed. Initiating the shutdown sequence will destroy the evil AI, but the fact that our main cast of five people will all lose their Monocoins if they do it makes it all way more tragic than I could have imagined. You're looking at it from the wrong angle. The game never states that the members of Ultimate Despair "had sex with Junko's corpse", but that "they tried to produce children with Junko's corpse". It seems obvious to me at least that when everyone was taking her body parts and attaching them to themselves, Mikan took Junko's ovaries. Does it make sense yet? :)

1:50:34 if you notice, one of the purple dialouge says "wh*re's Yasuk=?", For those who don't know, She meant "Yasuke", as in "Yasuke Matusda", the protag of DR0, who was a childhood friend, lover and murder victim of Junko Enoshima's. I don't know why I pointed this out, it's just I thought it was a little sad that Junko actually wondered where Yasuke was.

Later, it also says "Ryouko Otonashi didn't exist from the start", the Ultimate Analyst and the fake name Junko erased her name and used to hide her existence. They're bringing up alot of DR0 references during this part of the trial.

It's satisfying noticing the rare case of blunt praise of this series. I can't laugh at the concept of blunt praise or this entire series myself. I'd rather maintain a composure while viewing it for what it is. That's why I have photographs of character sprites giving their most glaringly fearful expressisons stuck on the wall right in front of me so I can be continuously reminded of exactly who the characters are. They're not surrogates for humour, they're constructs for serious causes and groups of people. How come no one is actually capable of praising this series like *this?* People like that (The ones who are incredibly bored of being alive) existing doesn't improve the reputation it needs to have at all.

That ending with Usami is... simply enough, epic. She spends the whole game getting pushed and shoved and punched around, even being totally destroyed, yet she comes back at the end to destroy the main enemy despite how terrible everyone was to her. That's how you design a character.

This chapter and Komaeda's death sealed the deal that this game was better than the prequel. The twist they were all remnants of despair and the difficult choice they had to make in this one pales in comparison to the twist from the first game. "Kill makoto and you get to live here, kill me and you have to go outside into the deadly world", "Spare yourselves and junko resurrects, erase your identities and you save the world". Also it pains me to see chiaki again, damnit I wanted her to be real so bad. Everyone else is in a coma, but the best girl in the damn series doesn't even exist.
