Spoiler Also, if you look clearly at the picture of the floorplan, you can see that Kaede's shot put ball couldn't have fallen straight on to Rantaro's head. The blood splash on the book case is located quite a bit to the right side of its plausible path, where the books are still stacked up quite high ... Shame they didn't notice that. Then again, this whole case is filled to the brim with regrets.

1:15:03 toujou (ft. hoshi)'s speech here explains why they trusted akamatsu, even after she committed the murder this is semi-related but i think why everyone still hated ouma despite his intents being for the sake of everyone's, was because they *couldnt* trust the ouma that they have come to know. what toujou said here completely applies to akamatsu, but doesn't to ouma, and i think that's why even if they both did unforgivable actions, ouma would still be left with their hatred. because like hoshi said, "if [even everything about akamatsu] was a lie, it'd be the last straw for me."
