That doesn't happen. Humans subscribe to the idea of 'wild instinct' when it doesn't really exist. Any animal can be befriended provided you show them respect and earn their trust and are far more loyal than any human would be. Treat them as property and then they will take your life. The people who end up dead are the ones who stopped or never showed them respect, broke their trust by abusing or neglecting them or again, being treated like property. The difference between something like a dog and a tiger is simple, the dog has been bred specifically to behave as though they are human property whilst tigers are still proud creatures that refuse to be treated as such. The people who get clapped are the people who forget that and believe they are the 'master' of the creature they have befriended.

We're not supposed to feed the bears. They'll lose their fear of humans which make them more dangerous. Once they know where to get food they return. This is why so many people are seeing bears closer to or in their towns/cities.

You don't get it do you? This is the problem with humans, you expect all animals to have the same methods of communication and 'act' a certain way to be seen as 'safe', that's nonsense. If that was an attack, you would KNOW it was an attack because a chunk of his flesh would be gone, the creature would attack continuously instead of just doing that once then stopping. Cats for example communicate well with their mouths sometimes giving love bites and or grooming an individual they like. That was obviously NOT an attack.
