THANKS for uploading this bodacious "blast from the past" ! Lots of familiar Hollywood faces from films & TV ! Interesting that the episode is set in Venice but almost everyone speaks English with an American accent. Have listened to many episodes of the radio version over the years (also starring Mr. Donlevy & with the same theme music) but it's a real treat to now be able to see they TV version, thanks to you ! I read online that since no network was interested in picking up the show, Mr Donvely used mostly his own money (with some help from NBC) to produce the program & syndicate it directly to local stations. A shame it only lasted one season ('51-'52).

So glad I saw this. Never, ever heard of this series, but I am so glad you posted it. Very enjoyable and a great distraction from what's on tv these days 😊

Ah, yes. I'd recognize him anywhere, Strother Martin! Love him. What a fantastic body of work he has produced! "What we've got here is failure to communicate" is a quotation from the 1967 film Cool Hand Luke.

I recognized the voce of Larry Dobkin(desk clerk). One of my favourite radio actors. Also Paul Dubov's voice

Brian Donlevy was good in the role of Steve Mitchell both in the radio and television version of "Dangerous Assignment."

If you like better mysteries about Venice, you will like the the novels by an American writer, Donna Leon.
