I don't understand why anyone, regardless of whether they think they aren't in the wrong, refuse to step out of the car or listen to anything asked of you. There has never been a single instance in history where not stepping out or follow directions leads to anything good. It has a 100% chance of a bad outcome. If you are respectful, follow directions, and not lie, you will most likely drive away with a warning or the officer will at least try to work you like by citing you for less than they could or write a speeding ticket for 10mph over if you were really doing 15-20mph over. For some reason, people like to pretend that the police want to pull you over for nothing as if it benefits them or fills a quota that they need. They don't. Traffic stops are the most dangerous things police do by far. If you don't break the law, you won't get pulled over. If you speed or break some other minor traffic law that you get pulled over for, you will drive away in 10 minutes with a warning or small fee if you act like an adult.
