"If you had a completely empty container free of any microorganisms and no way of secreting any minerals and created water it would be ultra pure" You are underestimating how difficult those conditions are to achieve without the proper equipment, its not something just about anyone can do in its home and it only ever occurs in nature in extremely rare conditions and in relatively low quantities so by definition its certainly not normal water

Corrections: The oxygen atom has a high electronegativity causing the electrons to spend more time near that side of the molecule. This causes the molecule to have a nonzero dipole moment. The molecule still has a net zero charge. Drinking a glass of pure water won't hurt you. The amount required to affect your concentration gradient is barely different than bottled water. So yes, drinking enough pure water will kill you, but drinking that amount of any water would. Tech Insider, please hire a more scientifically literate writer.

Correction: Ultrapure water kills pharmaceutical companies. Ultrapure/double-distilled/distilled water is the greatest solvent in the world. It has the highest water potential and resistivity giving it the ability to break down inorganic deposits in the body and facilitate their excretion such as plaque in your arteries or toxic deposits on your bones that cause OsteoArthritis, CAD, renal failure etc. I have been drinking distilled water since 2020 and I have not had a headache since. I have never felt so healthy, my teeth never so clean, my body never more hydrated. My chronic dehydration is gone, my kidney pain with it, my fatigue reduced, my memory better, my endurance higher, my mood improved, my taste refined and 10kg of weight loss from 100 to 90kg Fun fact: Distilled water is essentially what keeps dialysis patients alive. Fun Fact: Distilled water is better than chemo therapy on cancer cells. Fun Fact: Distilled water is the only substance in the world that can enter your body without doing damage to tissues and cells.

I think what he means is that normal water conducts electricity due to the ions/charged particles in the water. The water itself is not a good conductor of electricity at all. first off to get this super mega pure water you would need to apparently store it in a container of ice made from this same water but you could not drink the ice cause anything this magic water touched would attach to it... this is another play on deionized distilled water is bad for you. you literally can't get water so pure like this unless you make it yourself by burning hydrogen in a container that this water can't touch... furthermore our bodies are very efficient at filtering we can't loose minerals already digested when there is excessive minerals already in our tracts for it to latch onto thing simply don't work that way. super ultra pure water is harder to come by than you think most stores do not sell lab grade pure water. as for the taste it would be nothing there would be no perceived taste.

I wonder if a future form of this ultra pure water could be used to absorb bad materials in your body like toxins, then be sold for traditional use in a medical kit for if you child swallows some chemicals by accident or ingests something's they shouldn't..... and if this could be brought into the world why not lower the strength of the ultra water by a bit and transform the formula into a hangover-cure that absorbs and attracts the minerals you ingested last night and allows you to dispose of them properly....... just a few ideas that popped in my head I usually keep to myself but I didn't see any comments like mine!
@brocklee37687 жыл бұрын
Sherlock Holmes specific in the dosing? I agree, but I'm sure there is some other agent or material that is non toxic and water soluble that can be added to dilute the pure water. Maybe I should start concocting this together!
@reddragonflyxx6577 жыл бұрын
It's a good concept but pure water isn't a good material to use. It dissolves too many nutrients and would only dilute any toxic substances. It also misses anything not soluble in water. However, other materials are used to treat specific toxins. For example, the general concept is used in chelation therapy, where substances are added to the body which bond to heavy metals (good if you have been exposed to high doses of Mercury), but such materials are often harmful as well, so they are only administered to treat life threatening acute heavy metal exposure, such as when Karen Wetterhahn spilled a bit of dimethylmercury on her glove while doing research at Dartmouth (ironically, her research was on the effects of heavy metal poisoning). So once again the law of ideas prevails. You thought you had a good, novel idea, and expand upon it. Shortly you find out that other people had the idea first, spent more time on it, did it better, and got their names in the Wikipedia article(s) on its applications X years before you thought of it. Sorry about that, but look on the bright side: you can still reap the benefits (I can play Snake on my CM Rapid-i keyboard now, you can get treated for acute heavy metal poisoning). Now if you're still interested you can improve upon it (I can add Tetris, you can find a safer, more general agent for removing toxins). Better luck next time and have a wonderful day.

Yes. I don't have to justify my understanding here. Thank you and bye bye. :)

My family owns a 300 gallon fish tank and we mix that with salt for the tank. We have a large machine just for purifying water. I've drank some and it kind of tastes like super watered down soap. Its weird and hard to describe.

can you quantify the amount of mineral loss per ounce? And isn't this totally negated with your diet? There are more minerals in your diet than regular drinking water.

This is also a reason why it is not advisable to drink a lot of NEWater from Singapore because the incredibly thorough method of removing the Minerals caused the water to be really pure
@ragsdale97 жыл бұрын
last time i checked regular filtered water can knock out the minerals you need too. you can drink it just dont make it your diet. also tasting is subjective. not to mention it probably doesnt really have a taste.

My knowledge in chemistry is fairly limited, but I'm still fairly sure that water molecules don't have a net charge. The Hydrogen and Oxygen atoms share their electrons with each other which leads to a dipole, with the Oxygen side of the molecule being slightly negative and the Hydrogen side slightly positive. But the overall molecule still has no charge.

What about dosages and measurement? How much UPW per kg of body mass? By what route (oral, inhaled, IV, or "other")? Which minerals are removed in which order of priority? How much per day? There's a big difference between drinking a test tube full (10/15 ml) once a month, and drinking a liter a day.

We drink distilled water all the time on my submarine. It does have a tendency to strip especially calcium from the body, it builds up over time in the toilet pipework etc.

Why do they have a slight negative charge? Oxygen ion is negatively charged with the value of -2 And TWO hydrogen ions are positively charged +1+1=+2 So doesn’t it make water ion neutral?

Don't you just love it when companies go around saying that pure water can harm you... The "ultra pure" water is only mildly more mineral stripping than regular old distilled water. Yes, it would likely taste terrible, but it is going to invariably be mixed in with your stomach juices, which do a much better job at stripping minerals than pure water can. Water is also entirely electrically neutral, it's just that it is a polar solvent. There is nothing inherently dangerous about pure water other than that you can drown, or drink so much (5l+) that you flush your electrolytes out.

Each molecule of H2O can take a single metal atom with it(from group 1) group 2 metals need two H2Os and groups 2-3 (transition metals) need two to three molecules depending on the amount of electrons in their outer electron shell
