@@sheldor2996 It is... and it isn't. By default it's only 20% as effective as "actively playing". So, your gains are reduced by 80% without some buffs to the "AFK gains rate" through a myriad of other methods. Without appropriate buffs, the AFK rate is just... not going to get you very far, very fast. If I need something to be "sped up", I mostly just load the game on the character I need to do it with, in the area I need it, and just let it run and run and run actively. But, to be fair, I think when you made your post, there wasn't an option for "auto loot" when you played actively. So, it was insanely inefficient. I even pointed that out in my review as a "ding" against the game. You can play it a lot more "actively" now.

I even uninstalled my other games just to play this game actively, For new players don't get obsessed too much because if you do you'll get bored, I suggest that leave your char to farm and do other activities for a while and then return to the game to claim rewards. The dev is also willing to listen to the community unlike other huge franchises who puts a bot to respond messages to players.

@@magicmanscott40k There are the easily obtained items that refund all your skillpoints so you can distribute them better. Also, Defense is pretty important. Allows you to AFK better. Need less food that way too. It's just not as important as damage output.

i have been playing lavas games since idle skilling came out, and i have to say i def recommend the game. He is a solo dev and this game is his second, and it already has a massive amount of stuff to keep you busy with more and more being added frequently. I keep watching these idle on videos and It's so hard thinking of me as a level one player that didn't know what to do because now I know alot of the secrets grinding spots (one of them is the giant tree in the jungle) and let's be real here I have like 90+ hours in this game so you know you'll have fun (this is to anyone reading this)

The tree is only useful if your high level like lvl 60 and I only use it for the wood circle and the worship mini game. But I agree starting a new character is easier once you know all the spots and shortcuts. I got 260 hours and on world 3.

I have tip, since I got into this game a bit before this was uploaded. Great game btw, try it out! In the anvil menu, there is a "Produce" button. Click that, and produce the thread there. When taken out, it will give way more smithing XP for free. Hope this helps

Ah yes. The video where DF does practically nothing logical for progressing the game, but brings his own form of comedy so that I can still enjoy admist all the other thoughts about the thousands of things he was missing (Like how he has to unlock the recipe for that Axe at the beginning from the Green dude next to the pig in town.)

Well, it'll comfort you to know that each monster has a separate drop table. The monsters he fought are def useful (and it pains me to see the resources go to waste), but there wouldn't have been any high tier items :)

Not really. The green equipment is rare and is better than what he has on but each enemy only drops like 10 things and the best he can get it's slightly better stuff. The pants he got is pretty rare though.

its a game of exponential growth lol. when i started this game a month ago yea, took me days to get my main to lvl 30. this morning i made my 8th character, it's been 4 hours, and they're already almost lvl 25 lol. you new characters start getting made as strong as my first was was at lvl 40 just from all the bonuses you've upgraded along the way haha

Started this game because of this video. Makes me cringe all my gluteal muscles to see him not pick up stuff, and sell others, this game is a beautiful grind, to see him not even caring for the scaling is a mix of anxiety and a whole lot of fun! Content really cool, my feelings after the video are just horrible. At lv48 you are not happy with just max 400dmg !! xD
