Because I am a nerd, here's a few more specifics on the chalice rites: The Fetid rite buffs Watcher enemies with a red aura, increasing their AR. It also significantly increases those enemies' blood gem drop rates. Note that only Watchers can be buffed this way by this rite, so if the gem you're looking for doesn't drop from a Watcher, you can safely ignore this rite (this doesn't affect the Watchers boss either). The Rotted rite spawns new, strong enemies that will drop gems in the "wrong" shape for their dungeon. This is useful when the sorts of gems you want don't drop often in the dungeon of that shape (for example, if you want arcane gems in shapes other than triangles). There are 3 enemy types that can be spawned, but only one or two types can spawn per dungeon. -Enemy hunters, who can come in three varieties: Bone Ash (drops radial gems), Gold Ardeo (drops waning gems), and Cainhurst (drops triangle gems). It's rare to get all 3 types in one dungeon, but regardless of which combination of the 3 you get, they still only count as one Rotted enemy type. -Summoner witches, who always drop waning gems. -Tall, patrolling ritekeepers, who specifically drop pulsing (regen HP) circle gems. There is actually a fourth rotted enemy type, but they're super rare and super broken and don't drop anything. The Cursed rite cuts your health in half. But, it also makes every gem dropped a cursed gem. And there is a third, hidden facet of the cursed rite: if you're wearing an Eye or Milkweed rune, they invisibly give you an extra _1,000_ item discovery, greatly increasing the drop rate of gems and upgrade materials (most other drops are unaffected by discovery, sorry Blood Vials). Some of the false depth dungeons have enhanced curses that lower your HP even more, but give an even bigger discovery boost as compensation.
@Themmrnmhrm
@Themmrnmhrm 3 жыл бұрын
what is the fourth rotted type? I tried looking on bloodborne-wiki, but didn't find any mention of it;_;

@@Themmrnmhrm The puppets from the Micolash fight. They are extremely rare because From knew they were broken, and disabled most of the Rotted values that can spawn them. One or two values in one or two dungeons slipped through the cracks, though. Like I said, they're very broken in that they don't activate unless you reload right next to them, and even if you do reduce their health to zero, they just collapse, giving no echoes and no items.

Sunbro Adresse I think you bring up a faint point with “staled content.” However, my mentality with most of my guides is to try and future proof a game who’s mechanics are notoriously ambiguous and left unexplained. What most fans might think is common knowledge need only watch a few let’s plays or streams to see the dizzying amounts of misinformation and confusion. There are quite a few beginner’s guides out there, as I’ve linked in the video, but there aren’t that many videos that are honed into specific Bloodborne traits, thus this video exists. I hope to make more, but we’ll see🤞

Here's a tip for everyone regarding chalice dungeons: if you already have the chalice in your inventory, don't use ritual materials to unlock it. If you search for your chalices with the search menu or with glyphs you can save your materials for the F/R/C dungeons. But if you've already got the chalice and you don't have to make it a F/R/C, then just use the dungeon search. It makes it alot faster, especially in the early dungeons since you don't need to explore side areas for materials. Also if you got into NG+ you can just buy ritual blood (5) and tomb mold (5) and you can get everything else from the insight messengers.

But I wanted to give bloodborne a try as well and people have been directing me to your videos from the main bloodborne subreddit I would just like to say that your videos have been very clear in education and I hope they help. Oh hey it's The Backlogs! I just recently subscribed to your channel a few months ago and really like watching your challenge runs. When I first saw you in my recommended I wondered where I knew your profile from. Well, turns out I've combed this video's entire comment thread a few times looking for another comment and yours always seems to pop out. No idea why, it just happens to be one in my peripheral vision as I'm scrolling. Maybe it's the LOTR reference or the fact that it is in quotation marks. 🤷‍♂️ Anyways, just wanted to stop by here and say your content is awesome and it's pretty cool that you're a fellow (or former, either way) JM fan!

Thank you so much for the info. The game without this kind of community who enjoy tomb raiding would be a lot grindier and IMO less enjoyable due to this fact. Best of luck, waiting for more quality content. :)

Nice work jm. tho I wouldn’t say HP deplete is unusable, just very un-optima... attack down is actually useless. Overall great job, well done (also thanks for the shout) uwu

The Destiny jab made me chuckle. I’m a little burned out of Destiny 2 so I picked Elden Ring and had fun. I had this game in my library so I decided to give a shot. Thanks man

I just got done with Elden Ring, 100% it, and Sekiro before that. I honestly skipped BB because the aesthetic didn't appeal to me. My buddy swore by this and now I'm heavy into it. I'm still kind of meh with the aesthetic but the story and cohesiveness of it all still hooked me. Good Job Miyazaki!! Seeing the dungeon mechnica and what the community has done is really awesome! I really hope they implement something similar into Elden Ring to add to the end game in their DLC. ER is prime for that!!! PS Subscribed!

after learning about false depth chalice dungeons, they've become part of my normal playthrough since they are soooooooo useful. making the chalices being able to be gotten for free is so useful, and being able to do whatever one you want is so convenient. if anything, they let me skip the defiled chalice with the defiled amygdala boss which I despise. that alone makes them worth it.

I'm a self proclaimed Tomb Prospector. Let me give you the most basic of advice for CDs, especially if you plan on a lot of exploration. Invest in Arcane. The more you can fit on your build, the better. There is nothing more valuable than elemental Damage in Chalices. Arcane damage for Pthumeru, Fire for Loran and Electric for Isz. It will make your life so much easier. If you try to go full physical, some enemies will not take any damage from your attacks, like the Blood Gel for example. Given the nature of more advanced Dungeons, where you can be 1-shot by pretty much anything, not doing damage can be fatal. A small piece of advice though! If whatever you're fighting has ridiculous physical resistance, use your hunter's torch. Thank me later. (Additionally, weapons with split damage like the Holy Moonlight, the Boom Hammer and the Tonitrus can come in handy, even if not fully upgraded. Such is the case with ridiculous enemy resistances.)

I come here after beating elden ring and started Bloodborne. Bruh this game is so complicated and detailed but I'm loving it. I am seeing they took many of the things from this game and made them simpler in ER. Nice
